I doubt Hyundai is "giving up on the Azera". The Azera and proposed Genesis are aimed at different segments of the market.

Hyundai has resumed advertising the Azera. I have seen several over the past few weeks. They changed advertising agencies recently. There is no evidence that the Azzy will be neglected. The Genesis is not a substitute for the Azzy. My dealer, Hyundai of Westchester in Yonkers NY has several 2006 SE's in stock and is offering them at under $20,000. This is an exceptional dealership and with a little negotiating you can pick up a new Azera for less than the price of the Sonata. My son just picked up a new 2007 Santa Fe and so we have purchased 3 cars in the last 15 months, which includes my 06 Sonata LX6 and 06 Azera Limited. Anyone in the metro NY area would be well served to try this dealership. I have never been more happy with my cars and the dealer, sales and service.

RE. # 61 "and with a little negotiating you can pick up a new Azera for less than the price of the Sonata."
I sure wish your NY dealer had a branch in CA.

This is a very appropriate discussion for that conversation. Check the title.

Ironically, the new ad agency is not the ones which designed those smart move ads.

They are promoting the Sonata and Santa Fe. What about my baby, she's cuter?

Hyundai is currently running a series of "DUH" ad campaigns, including:

Two Santa Fe stand-alone
One Sonata stand-alone
Tuscon, Santa Fe, Veracruz with Tucson details/offers at end
Elantra, Sonata, Azera with Azera details/offers at end

Initially my response was that I have not seen this commercial with all three and I'll be darn 10 mins later here it comes on TV.

They still are not showing how cute she (AZZY) is. They need to have a commercial showing the inside.

But it's about time.

Just received my September issue of Automobile Magazine with a decent two page Azera ad. Glad to see that they are supporting it!
