Hello have a 2007 G35 Sport which is a big investment for me. Want to keep it nice and clean, have a good cover but also would like advice from users on the best products to use to (1) Clean inside dash (2) leather (3) wheels (4) wax body. The manual says ask the dealer but they dont have a clue. Thanks in advance and happy safe riding to all |

It didn't get very cold or anything, so I'm not sure why that would matter. As a test, I left it in the garage tonight and, sure enough, the alarm went off at 10:30 PM, almost right on schedule for the previous nights. I haven't called the dealer yet as I've been busy with work, but if you found a solution, please let me know. |

Over the past 11-months since reading this forum and owning this vehicle, I have seen some other postings regarding paint chipping, so apparently this condition has occurred with others. Does anybody know at what point paint chipping can be considered a product flaw (and covered under the warranty) versus 'caused by owner' and not covered under warranty? My situation...I have two sections of the car where I have small paint chips (no dents). One side I suspect might be from my wife's rear driver-side door. She parks in the garage on the right side on my G35. She gets out of the car and then opens the back door to get her stuff out. She has always been careful when opening the door, and admits that the door does touch and rests against my passenger-side rear door, but she never has opened it hard and banged the doors together (I believe her, and as mentioned previously, there is no actual denting). Then on my driver door, I open it and sometimes depending how close I parked, the door might open and rest against the rounded edge of my lawnmower handle. Again, no hard slamming and no dents. Unfortunately I have to assume these small paint chips were caused by this door just resting against the lawnmower handle. As I mentioned, the lawnmower handle is curved and rounded; not sharp edged or pointed. Now I can easily see how one might say the chipping was my (and my wife's) own doing. But I am stumped, as have others that have encountered the chips, that this was so easily caused by the above-mentioned actions. It would seem to me that a good paint job would be able to protect and retain itself better than this. One last point...I had the paint coated with that paint shield stuff, done by the dealership, when the car was bought brand new Any comments? Suggestions?
