Is it possible that you left the SNOW button in the active position? That's the simplest explanation.

Well, even in Snow Mode, AWD becomes RWD over 12 MPH unless needed.
Snow Mode controls engine output to avoid wheel spin.

It has to be something else....

But it still could be noisy.

I've been in the computer industry for years, and everytime my engineers get stuck on a problem and can't figure it out, even though they're deep into the issue, I always tell them to go back and look at the SIMPLEST thing.....I've got to think the same principle applies here.

Cruise Control not working at night by caspenc213

I've owned my 07 6MT for about 4 weeks now and have just started using the cruise control with ICC and it works great during they day. I haven't experienced the jerkiness of the cruise that others have reported. However, I've noticed that both times I turned on the cruise at night, the display would continually flash the ICC screen and would not allow me to set the cruise. I cycled the cruise on and off several times and same thing occurred. I thought that it could be some interference with the ICC lens up front, but it works fine during daylight hours and I confirmed that there was no obstruction on the lens.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?
Could it be linked to whther I have the traction control on or off?
Thanks

Was it raining? The wipers on anything but delay will override it.

+1 to Johninnj's comment. Also if it's sunset and you're driving into the light, that will cause problems with ICC as well. Of course, you can always just turn ICC off...

From the manual:
"To turn on the conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode, push and hold the MAIN switch for longer than about 1.5 seconds."

The main switch in this case is the on/off button the steering wheel.

My wife has been a Camry driver for over 6 years so we thought the G35 would be a step up, wrong. It is very noisy at high speeds, wind and road, had the front struts and bushings replaced and they are making noise again. Car only has 20,000 on it and rattles inside. She is very unhappy after 9 months and looking to trade back to a Camry.

A step up from a Camry to G35? Two totally different styles of cars - believe you took a step in the wrong direction - it should have been Camry to Lexus ES350 - that's the step up.

I agree with the other poster... sounds like you didn't realize you were getting a luxury injected sports car. Go to a Lexus or similar vehicle for a sport-injected luxury car and you'd have been a lot happier.

How did you not notice the wind noise in the test drive?

Although admittedly if my struts were making noise I'd be upset, but I'd be at the stealership complaining too. That didn't work I'd be on the phone with Infiniti Consumer Affairs. So far though, my dealership (one of the few non-stealerships I've been too) has been nothing but professional and helpful.

Snow Mode being set "On" or the VDC being set to "Off" are other reasons why the ICC would not set.
Items that disable ICC:
Direct sunlight
Wipers on Lo or High(Intermittent is okay)
Snow Mode set to On
VDC set to Off

Items that will also disable ICC can be:
Speed drops below 20 MPH
Sensor becomes dirty
VDC senses wheel slip and engages
Engine coolant becomes too high
