We have the perforated, heated leather in our 2009 Limited and I really like it.

In fact I will go out on a limb and say it has the best seats of the 3 cars I own. The Sienna's are too flat and soft (light gray cloth), the Miata's are too hard and not padded enough (black cloth), but the Forester's leather is just right. I love the heaters and may add a set to my Miata.

So yes, go for the heated leather, it's very nice.

grad: she can't get the bigger V6?

Hey juice;

She signed the papers on it tonight. The car is blue booked for private party at $16,100. Trade in, $13,350. She bought it for $13,500. I think its a screaming bargain myself. Local Hyundai dealer said it hadn't been wrecked, and could see where the oil had been changed and tires rotated. Filters starting to get dirty, but not overdue for replacement.

2007 Santa Fe GLS 2WD, Heated Leather, Moonroof, etc.

The lowest asking price in town for a 3.3L was $17,000 (with the deal-breaker moonroof). She had to have that moonroof!

My best friend got a new used car today too, as an wedding present from his folks. A 2005 V6 Accord (same color scheme as my graphite 2006 model). Two of my favorite people got new cars today. I'm excited for both! (my GF's Saturn needed a transmission, and my friend's '97 Maxima had 210k miles on it, and left him stranded twice last month). God is good!

Congratulate her for me.

At $13,500, wow, that's nothing. Great deal. In this case the depreciation helps you, the 2nd buyer.

The 2.7l should be OK with FWD, which is lighter and has less drivetrain loss than the AWD.

Those are rated pretty well, so she got a great value for the price. Congrats again.

I knew it was a steal; couldn't believe it was going to be accepted until she called me and had the keys! I'm going to link her to this page so she can read for herself.

Thanks!

what a pos. tons of squeeks and rattles, tire noise, transmission could not stay in gear.
it did ride pretty well though, had less wind noise than my explorer and seat was comfortable in a half hour ride.

What year? The new one, or the previous generation?

Me too. I have the cloth seats, with the seat heaters. Leather is nice, but leather in the south doesn't make much sense. Unless you like hot seats.

Major repairs - Acadia vs Honda Pilot by ccat130

Our Acadia was purchased new in May 2007. A year later I couldn't believe the catastrophic failures the vehicle had. Our history now includes a transmission rebuild, 4 transmission leak repairs, a failed batter, a failed air conditioner part that caused water to drain inside the car in pint size quantities, a failed water pump, and the last straw was that the engine just had to be removed for another major failure. All of the service has been through GMC dealers and warranted, but I have no confidence in the vehicle for my family to drive it. I tried to get help trading it from GM, but once they had my money that didn't care. This was a fully loaded $42,000 vehicle that has spent 8 weeks in the shop with the engine , transmission, water pump, AC system, and battery all having major failures. It is my problem now. I shouldn’t have to trade in a 2 year old car. It looks like that is going to cost me $10,000 out of pocket to trade it.

I would be extremely careful before looking at the GMC Acadia, Chevy Traverse, Saturn Outlook, or Buick Enclave they are all the same vehicle.
