Hello,I just purchased a 2007 G6 convertable and I wanted to add an in-dash GPS system. I really like the pioneer AVIC-Z1. Some places say it won't fit, others say an adaptor is available. I suspect however I will loose all driver info. center functionality. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?

i was going to put the avic d3 in my 07 g6 convertable and after best buy screwed it up i found out that it would not work. the driver info is important it has to register through the unit or it will start messing your car up. the only way to do this it to relocate the stock unit to the trunk leave it connected and then you can install the avic z1

Did you ever install a navigation system in your 07 G6 Convertible? I am considering doing this - any words of wisdom?
