The new C-class seems to be generating relatively little comment so far. Looks like Mercedes did a good job of updating this vehicle and giving buyers quite a few different "looks" (Avantgard, Elegance, Classic, etc) as well as options. Maybe there will be more discussion once we get more info at the Geneva auto show, and/or when intro dates are announced.

Maybe I just need to get used to it, but the front view just doesn't look like a Mercedes-Benz to me. Good to see they got rid of the C230; just underpowered in this day and age.

By the pictures, the car looks better than the 3-series.

One does not drive the 3-series soley for looks, so the whole package will determine its success.

I dont know... maybe its just me. But the new C-Class looks a lot like the 3-Series with a sporty side-skirt. Cover up the front(Mercedes grill and headlights) with your palm, you'll see.

I just test drove the C-Class 300 sport today. I must say I was impressed with both the looks and the ride. I have always been a BMW fan and never really looked into MB's. I thought it was for the older folks. I like where MB is going with this new aggressive sporty look. It certainly caught my attention.

Although I wish it had more power like the BMW's, it had plenty of power for everyday use. I have to note that I was only able to drive the Automatic because that was all they had on the lot. I'm assuming the 6 speed manual will have that extra kick I was looking for.

I believe I am sold on the new C-Class sport and will be crossing over from BMW. I can't wait to pick one up.

Hello all, I used to be a Product specialist for BMW but just switched to Mercedes. Any questions regarding the New 2008 C or any of the other models, please feel free to direct to me. I can also answer availability concerns in the North Georgia Area starting October 1 2007..
I used to post on the boards as KandG and have written stuff in the LR3 forums, 300zx z32, and for the BMW E46 3 series,

Thanks,

Regards,
