does anyone know where the 4 wheel drive vacuum actuator switch is located on a 1997 chevy pickup

I have a 2000 Sonoma 4x4, and the actuator/servo(under the battery tray) keeps blowing out....the rubber bellows keeps ripping or it separates from the body...it has been replaced 5 times this year !! The transfer case does engage , the buttons work fine. But without the actuator the Hubs dont lock in.....HELP....winter is coming....thanks.....
