I've got an offer for an 08 GT FWD, with Nav, Moonroof, BSM, Tow with an MSRP of 39,330 for 36,552 plus taxes/fees. Then I could either do the Mazda financing (1.9 for 60 mos) or take another 2k off the price. From my earlier reading, this seemed to be a decent deal, but in light of some of these new numbers I am seeing, it doesn't look quite as good. Has everyone recently had the choice of taking some more money off OR the financing deal? How much lower do you think I can expect to get this for? I'll probably want to make a counter offer, but I'm just not sure what I could legitimately get it down to. Thanks for all the info on this forum, its great. |

Replying to: hieppo (Aug 05, 2008 7:06 pm) Here is how I got the deal . I took the $4000 rebate intead of 1.9 and found my own Financing. the rate I found was 4.9 working the numbers my payment was 4 dollars more a month. Using my Financing . I was back and forth between Manhattan and Wantagh mazda they were willing to negotiate the most. Wantagh was awesome, I am really happy with them !!! I pick up my car tonight. Forget Country Mazda they were true !# |

Here's a tip... go to autotrader.com search for new CX-9 find dealers with large amount of inventory and offer at least $7000.00 under MSRP. The 2009 vehicles will be here soon and dealers have to move the 2008. Don't be afraid to walk away, we the buyers have a big advantage....use it, they have to move these vehicles.

So here's the story. Bought car 1.5wks ago. Just brought it into the dealership yesterday for aftermarket installations. Picked up this evening. (1) There was a small dent on the driver's side door near the handle. (2) There were scratches on the hood. (3) A small 'smudge' near the driver's side side view mirror - difficult to describe but seems like the paint is worn in that spot. (4) The center console was not put back, the faux wood paneling was hanging off. What should I do? Please advise. The service center was closed this evening so they took down the issues and will tell them first thing in the morning and have them call me. Obviously get all 4 items fixed. Do you know if these are 'easily' fixed problems? I think the dent can come out. But the scratches and smudge I'm worried about because of how it might leave the paint finish. Any advice will be appreciated. After that, I think I should ask for some other things to compensate for the damage, and stress, and just the fact that I just bought a ~$40k car 1.5wks ago, and now there's damage done to it!!!! Free service?? Can't think of anything else, I'm sure all of you out there will have some ideas!! My highlander of 5 years doesn't even have a scratch or a dent!!! Very dissapointed. Please help with some direction to take in this situation. |

I just took delivery of an 08 GT with an MSRP of 39,550, got it for 32,102 (including dealer fee and destination then + tax and tags which are 388 here). They also brought the car to me since they were about 2 hours away, so that was a nice bonus. I did also buy extra bumper to bumper warranty to 100k for 1,600 which I was mixed on doing, but I just figured that now I don't have to worry about it and I'm still paying less in total than I had expected just to just a month of so ago. Lastly, the dealer got me financing for 4.5% for 60 mos which was better than I could find other places. Seems like it was a pretty good deal, though if they keep going down like this, it might not look so good in a couple months. Anyway, love the car so far, just wish you could enter a navi destination while you are driving. Thanks for the help on this forum. |

Just picked up an 08 GT AWD w. Bose, Sunroof, tow pkg, BSM, white pearl for $29,490. It had 4 miles on it. Got a $4,500 "Walser" discount plus $4,000 from Mazda for not financing. So I paid cash, but can't complain about getting a loaded $37,900 car for $29.5K. While it is not on Mazda's web site... the additional 4K off is in place of the 0% 36 financing option. So if you can pay cash, go for it. |
