What ever dealer you choose, make sure that you have a buyers agreement in writing signed by the SALES MANAGER. You can have an unsigned quote that is not binding.

It was the manager I was dealing with, yet I don't have a"signed agreement" I do have his handwriting and figures all over my paper with my bro-in-law as a witness.

Do the numbers seem fair to you?

What is invoice price of this car?

Based on deal on new cars, I would think you should be buying a demo at $2.5-4K (if not more) below invoice.

Invoice is 38,261 less 693 dealer holdback (due to mileage).
Then I am adding on Remote Starter (MSRP 595, my cost 400) & ceiling mount DVD/Nintendo (MSRP 1895, my cost 1500), so the total becomes 39468.

got this quote from local Mazda dealership for a basic GT FWD(MSRP $34365). this is the quote from them: "invoice less dealer cash less holdback is $29847. I will do this plus $150 = $29997 plus tt&l. To let you know, by using the dealer cash you would forgo the Mazda Credit incentivized apr of 1.9% for upto 60 months. " is it true??

I was dealing with the manager and I told him the deal was contingent upon the 1.9% APR. he did not mention that the Dealer Hold Back or rebates would be an issue.

So I've begun pitting one dealers' b/o against another's and it's already working to my advantage. I'm fortunate to have several Mazda dealers in the area where I live.

Dealer #2 looked at Dealer #1 (originally noted above in thread) and said they will beat by at least 200-500, plus their vehicle is brand new. I might even get a bit more on the trade-in.

I've now given both offers to Dealer #3 for comparrison and hopefully an even better offer will be forthcoming.

Does anyone have any pricing quotes in the Lexington area? I'm going to Paul Miller Mazda to check out the CX-9 Touring Edition.
