Just picked up my 08 AWD CX-9 Touring in gray galaxy mica yesterday in Portland Oregon. It has moonroof/bose audio, towing package, and Auto-Dimming Mirror. MSRP is $36,110, and invoice is $33,256. I had it with the 2.9% promotional rate for $31,900 plus $165 TTL and $50 document fee. I think I have found a good deal.

Congrats!

Based on your numbers that is $1306 under invoice.

Did you get a rebate?

Did you have a trade?

Thanks

No trade in.

I was offered at $31600/cash or 32600/2.9% with reabte and dealer's hold back a week ago. I didn't take it.

Sales person called me back on 02/28 and told me end of the month would be the time to make deals. He offered me $32000 and asked me to come in next day.

I went in around noon, sales person showed me the car again, and told me his manager gave me a better deal ($100 less) than what he told me. Off course, I didn't argue with him for working on a better deal for me.

2007 CX9 Grand Touring AWD by vizsla

I am new to forums and new to this website. We are car shopping and came across a 2007 CX9 AWD Grand Touring automobile at a dealer in Iowa. I was searching this site to further investigate the reliability of this vehicle and thought I would ask all of the experts about this price.
Options: Bose/Moonroof, Towing Package
MSRP: $36,755, been at the dealer since September 2007
Edmunds research indicates the TMV Dealer retail is $31960 and the Certified Vehicle price is $33960. This car has 200 miles on it probably from test drives.

Dealer offer: $32755 and maybe 2.9% financing (took $4,000 off)
Trade In involved $4500 ($500 more than we expected)
We could pay cash for the vehicle. Would a dealer lower their price if we offered cash? This does not seem like the best we can do here. Any advice.
Inexperienced car buyer--thanks.

You can ask for an additional $1000 off if you pay cash. This was what my dealer has offered me, $1000 additional discount or 2.9%.

However, IMO, 2007 CX-9 with the old 3.5L engine should get a deeper discount. What you are getting is not too differnt from paying for a 2008 model. I just had a CX-9 Touring with $4210 off MSRP $36110 last Friday.

I am looking for buying a Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring which has an MSRP of 41465, What should be the purchase price for this SUV?

Looking at details in the forum I think the Invoice Price should be close to 37900$.

Can I expect the price to be 2000$ less then the Invoice price.

I intend to buy this SUV within 2 days.

Regards,
Masood

What options are listed with your configuration? At the moment, CX-9 GTs with AWD, navigation and rearseat entertainment systems are hard to find. Dont expect to get $2000 off invoice for such a configuration. You tend to get the best pricing closer to the end of the month than the beginning. You will be able to negotiate steeper discount on the Sport and Touring models than the Grand Touring model.

Just how can you distinguish a 2007 model from a 2008. I realize the 2008 has a larger motor (3.7 vs. 3.5). But visually the 2008 vs. the 2007 motor is indentical looking when viewing under the hood. I have been lied to by the dealership already regarding some equipment on my 2008 AWD GT. Does anybody know when the first 2008 was built?

CX9 Deal by ohio_mike

Attempting to buy a CX9 and had some questions about some of the fees and the best deal I could get. Working with a dealer who is shady as usual. He quoted me 5.9% financing as the best available and then after I researched online that 2.9% was available said that because it was the beginning of the month he was not informed (it was offered in Feb, too)....

  • I have S-Plan Pricing and am looking for a AWD Touring, w/Moonroof/Bose, Back Up camera, Sirius, and a few other small options (floor mats, etc.).
  • I have a trade I am looking to get 4K for.
  • I have the S Plan price of - $33,336.
  • Dealer quoted me Destination of $635
  • Doc Fee of $250
  • Tag Fee of $29
  • Their is also an unpublished $500 rebate.

Is that the best I can do or can I expect to negotiate another $1000 off of S Plan? Is the Destination Fee negotiable or Legit?
How about the Tag and Doc Fees?

I am going to work with a couple of different dealers after my first experience.
Your thoughts, ideas and suggestions would be appreciated!
    Thanks....
