Good point...still, with gas prices, economy etc...
I know the 2.9% is scheduled to be done 2/29, but I'm hoping for an extension or maybe something even better. But you are right, will probably be tough since they are selling well and have won the recent awards. We really want to get our hands on one, but want to put off for the next month or so. Any favorable dealerships in Chicago area?

This is true for leases as well.

I LEASED a CX9/FWD with the following details:
MSRP: 39300
Invoice: 36175
My Price: 35000 (1175 under invoice)

Remember, always negotiate the price before you do anything else. This was back in 12/2007.

Hello Everyone,

I've been reading this forum for several weeks now but this is my first posting.

A local dealer in Ohio placed the following special order for me. I'm just wondering if it's really that good of a deal? It is, however, the lowest I've been able to find thus far and decided to go ahead and take it.

$34,895 for the following:

Grand Touring with AWD
White and Sand interior
Assistance and Moonroof packages
Sirius Radio
Auto-Dim/Homelink Mirror
Roof Rails
Mud Guards
All-Weather Mats

Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated. ">

Thanks!

Wuk, try Autobarn Mazda of Countryside, IL (suburb of Chicago). I got both my 2008 CX-7 & 2008 CX-9 from them.

Welcome,

Do your homework.

MSRP:

Invoice Price:

Rebates:

Price before TTL and no extra:

Extra Fees:

TT&L:

Total: OTD

Is there are trade involved?

Then compare your price to the prices posted on the leader board.

Good Luck

thanks caliche,

that might be a bit far..especially if they throw in an oil change or something. but if the price is right, I'll definitely consider them. I'm in NW burbs.

To everyone: is it "wrong" to get a price from one dealer and shop that price to other dealers to get a better price elsewhere? Also, I had been dealing with salesmen thru the internet, but went in to test drive and spoke to another employee. Is it wrong to try and get the best price b/t two salesmen who work at the same dealer? Don't want to piss anyone off.
Another note: I recently graduated (MBA). Once final price is negotiated, can I then throw that $500 rebate at them to get more $$ off?
Also not sure how S-Plan works into the equation. I mentioned that to the dealer, and they gave me the "bottom line" price that S-Plan provides. However, his bottom line price was at invoice. Should I negotiate without mentioning S-Plan? Seems to be working for many of you! Sorry for all the questions. Thanks!

Well, I think that's the problem...I've done too much homework! I've been researching prices, specs and reviews for weeks now trying to figure out the absolute lowest price I can purchase the vehicle for and I think this is it.

At any rate, I was just looking for advice on MSRP vs. Invoice prices. I'm not concerned with taxes, license and document fees seeing as these are unavoidable. There is no trade involved. What's the lowest price on the leader board?

MSRP - 41,155
Invoice - 37,648
Selling Price (TTL and doc fees not included) - 34,895

Thanks again.

Dsier,

As you can see below $1487 is the best deal thus far with no extra fees (like doc fee)

If your invoice price is correct, then the deal looks great at $2753 below invoice, but you must subtract your extra fees from that number. Do not under estimate the cost of the extra fees, they are pure profit for the dealer. (We have seen Doc fees up to $500. I have also seen extra fees totaling $700-800)

Any rebates with this deal?

When you go final, give us an update.

Good Luck!
-------------
Please post your deal in terms of $ under the invoice price.

07 CX-9 $0 under invoice. At invoice.

08 CX-9 $1487 under invoice. The new standard for this car is around $1K under invoice. Watch out for the extra fees!

Includes rebates (If there are any).

Paying extra fees (Doc Fee, etc...) are still having an impact on these deals.

Keep posting those good deals.

Just picked up my 08 AWD CX-9 Touring in gray galaxy mica yesterday in Portland Oregon. It has moonroof/bose audio, towing package, and Auto-Dimming Mirror. MSRP is $36,110, and invoice is $33,256. I had it with the 2.9% promotional rate for $31,900 plus $165 TTL and $50 document fee. I think I have found a good deal.
