Doesn't make sense to me. As redline said, if they're willing to sell you the vehicle for $28,930 in one scenario, they should be willing to sell at that price in ANY scenario.

It's always 3 separate negotiations on any transaction - new vehicle price, trade, and financial terms. NEVER let one affect the other.

I am confused... It seemed to me that cash back OR lower APR has always been a common practice. Is that not the case? That's why you see the two prices, one has the cash back and the other one doesn't, but it has the lower APR.

California Pricing by rhann

I'm looking to see if I'm getting an okay deal here in California. I'm getting similar pricing from multiple dealers. When I asked about below invoice I was told that didn't happen in CA.

MSRP: $39,010
Price: $36,500
$3,000 down
$750 rebate applied down
Lease 36 months $470 +tax
Lease 24 months $486 +tax

Is this an okay deal for my region? Should I be looking at other dealers farther away?

Thanks for any feedback.

Your deal looks like $1559 under invoice, based on the best prices reported on this board that would be one of the best. Since it is close to the end of the month, I would try for $2K under invoice.

You need to crunch the numbers to determine the difference between 5.9 and 2.9%.

Is it worth more than $1670?

Watch out for extra fees.

Good Luck!

I'm trying to calculate the invoice price. Using Edmonds, it comes in at $650 over invoice.

I believe you can do better.

Make them an offer (at least $1K below invoice with no extra fees) and then walk away. Maybe Mazda will increase incentives in March. Time is on your side.

Good Luck!

For february, it is 2.9% APR or 1000 rebate. So the difference between the 2 quotes should be 1000 and not 1670.
