Replying to: mrdaniel76 (Feb 26, 2008 6:42 pm) Are you saying that the "car price" of 28930 is being offered if you take 5.9% and that they would give you 2.9% if you agree to a car price of 32670? If that is a correct assumption, then I say, how come they won't give you 2.9% for the 28930? Remember, always negotiate the car price before they even realize that you are buying all cash, buying with financing, or leasing. The "car price" should NOT dictate what interest rate you are entitled to, or vice versa. Good luck.

Replying to: redline122 (Feb 26, 2008 9:37 pm) According to the dealer, Mazda has a special going on that they will give me a cash back OR a special 2.9% rate. So I can choose the cash back and drive out price of $31,000 and secure my own finance (or dealer standard: 5.9%) OR I get the special rate of 2.9% but the drive out of $32,670. Does it make sense? MSRP: $33,265 Invoice: $30,539 CASH BACK: Car Price: $28,930 Doc Fee: $50 License, Transfer, Title: $130 Dealer Tax: $75 State Tax: $1,815 Total: $31,000 Special Rate: 2.9% Car Price: $30,500 Doc Fee: $50 License, Transfer, Title: $130 Dealer Tax: $79 State Tax: $1,911 Total: $32,670 How does it look? Thanks!!!

I'm looking to see if I'm getting an okay deal here in California. I'm getting similar pricing from multiple dealers. When I asked about below invoice I was told that didn't happen in CA. MSRP: $39,010 Price: $36,500 $3,000 down $750 rebate applied down Lease 36 months $470 +tax Lease 24 months $486 +tax Is this an okay deal for my region? Should I be looking at other dealers farther away? Thanks for any feedback.

Replying to: mrdaniel76 (Feb 26, 2008 6:42 pm) You need to crunch the numbers to determine the difference between 5.9 and 2.9%. Is it worth more than $1670? Watch out for extra fees. Good Luck! |
