Actually, two weeks ago, I found a CX-9 with EXACTLY what you want in Sacramento. I ask my dealer (in San Jose) to do a trade with the Mazda dealer there for free. He only wanted to do a trade for free with an Oakland dealer which had a CX-9 with fewer add-ons. I took it. The CX-9 in Sacramento may still be there.
Go to Mazdausa.com and search dealer inventory. Enter Sacramento as city.
Good luck.

For GT AWD, you are mostly getting $500-$600 below invoice in SF Bay Area. I would skip some of the simple add-ons for after market (such as Roof Rails, All-Weather Floor Mats). Auto-dimming is difficult to DIY because GT with rain-sensing wiper cover is very hard (nearly impossible) to disassemble perfectly w/o breaking something. Mine does not come with one, I have been doing research on it. So far, no action yet. I have purchase many add-ons and plan to do them this weekend. You can get add-ons at
mazdaparts.org or
mazdagear.com
(both are selling at nearly invoice price). The former has free shipping (no tax if out of state) for order more than $100.

BSM for 2008 GT by ceric

On Blind-spot monitoring...
Every CX-9 produced for 2008 has it. The $200 is included as an option.
You cannot find a 2008 CX-9 GT w/o BSM. So, in that sense it is standard option,
but on the invoice, it shows as an option.

Ceric,

Where is a good place to get after market add ons (cross rails and floor mats)? I have never purchased these after market and would be interested in a few dependable sights. Thanks!

If you want the OEM accessories,
mazdaparts.org (>$100 free shipping, maybe no tax depending on state)
mazdagear.com
Both places (both Toyota dealers) have about the same prices (both near invoice).

If you want the all-weather mats, I would say the weathertech.com is the best.
But I have the Mazda one. They are less expensive and they fit very well with the railing system of the 2nd and 3rd rows (snap-under the rails and lock in).

The risk of "breaking something" is a real concern when installing stuff like roof-rack and auto-dimming mirrors. Be careful of the trim pieces of the roof-rack when trying to snapping them in. If you are not handy, ask for help from others.

I have a GT AWD and I have installed the following
- roof-rack with cross bars
- bug deflector
- side molding (from sportwing.com)
- mudflaps (front/rear)
- all weather mat
- cargo net
- cargo area mat

My next plan is to install auto-dimming mirror, but I am researching the complexity.
The dealer quoted me $477. With 15% off coupon, it costs $405. The parts together cost about $214 only. It is an easy money to make if I can figure out how to install it w/o breaking anything....(the one w/ rain-sensing is much tougher)

We are planning to purchase a GT (FWD) in the next few weeks and wonder what's happening in the latest transactions.

If you happen to have S-plan pricing, I was offered invoice minus $500 for a GT.

Without S-plan, I was initially given $1500 off MSRP without even asking for it. Reading other forums, people are getting invoice with a little haggling, slightly under invoice with a lot of haggling.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I do have S-Plan pricing so I'll see what I can get. I plan to wait until the last week of the month to see if there's any dealers in our area willing to go lower since they may be near their monthly sales goal for bonus from the manufacturer.

CX-9 Lease on 2/8/08 by couchman57

Leased a CX-9 in North Metro Atlanta (MoG) on Friday with the following equipment:

> Grand Touring - FWD
> Galaxy Gray/ Sand Leather
> Bose Package w/ 6 Disk Changer
> Sunroof
> Auto Close Hatch
> Smart Key
> Bluetooth
> Rearview Camera

Price Paid:
> Sticker: $38,210
> Negotiated Sticker: $34,528
> Money Down: $0
> 36 months
> 15k miles
> Dealer Installed Siruis Satellite
> M/F: .000101
> Residual: 48%
> Taxes, Tag, Title + 1st Month: $2,000
> Monthly Payment: $489

Use caution when pulling your deal together with this dealer - what was negotiated on paper with the saleperson did not match what the sales manager actually put into the computer. I recommend to meet with the sales manager AND with the sales person before input into the computer and credit is pulled. This will ensure everyone is on the same page and there are no misunderstandings or confusion.

I am no expert when it comes to car buying but this site helped tremendoulsy in getting what I believe is the right deal. Hopefully this information can assist others as negotiate their deals.

Nice job on the negotiated price. One question, did you say you were able to get the power lift gate (auto close hatch) without getting the Nav system or did you forget to list the Nav system? Thanks
