The other is a GT for 34 + TTL.

Recently bought the following for $32,500 + TTL:
CX-9 GT, AWD, moonroof/bose, dockable entertainment, remote start, and roof rack. Blue/sand.
Started out by emailing 6 local dealers and telling them that I had a quote for this setup for $34K and asking if any of them could beat it. Over time, it inched down and I'd update the others with the new lower bar.
There seemed to be a lot more inventory with the black interior, which I didn't want. Could have probably got a better deal if I would have taken one with that.
This forum really helped educate me on things like the rebate and invoice price, etc.
Good luck to all of you negotiating. For what it's worth, I'm extremely happy with my purchase so far. The truck looks much better in person than online IMO.

I'm not familiar with dockable entertainment option. What is that exactly? And where is the dealership located at?

dockable entertainment system is basically a portable DVD player that can be detached from a "dock" that is installed into the roof of the vehicle. it has a larger screen and can easily click into place. it also comes with ability to play games from GameBoy Advance and comes with wireless controllers. you can get it installed aftermarket from a Visteon dealer or Mazda dealership (i got a quote for $895 installed from an aftermarket nonMazda dealer). overall, it seems like a nice system (go to visteon.com for more details on features) although it seems archaic now to use GBA games when Nintendo DS has been available for so long now.

thanks jcpharm. I'm just torn on which option to get. I think you can either get Moonroof/Bose package or Rear ent. System/Bose package but not both. I checked on that Visteon website but i don't think they have any location in Fl. for installation. I'm not also sure, but does the Rear ent. system/Bose package come with 2 Subs? I know the one with the moonroof/Bose package only comes with 1 sub in the rear. Does anyone know any advantage or disadvantage of getting the aftermarket DVD ent. system?

you are correct - it is moonroof/bose OR RSES, but not both. that was the whole purpose of offering the dockable Ent System (for the folks who absolutely needed the moonroof). the pros/cons stem primarily from the "dockability". since it is dockable, you can remove it and take anywhere with you. it is a slightly larger screen (10" vs. 9" RSES). however, because it is dockable, theoretically it can be stolen easier during a car breakin....also if the dockable insert point ever malfunctions, theoretically it can fall out of its dock station and onto your child during a crash. furthermore, it is possible the 10" screen may obstruct rear mirror viewing (my understanding is that the RSES does not obstruct viewing much but that is not first-hand). i can tell you what i did - i got a moonroof/bose (i wanted a RSES but could not find one in my area) and ordered aftermarket replacement headrest DVD players for my two kids. they come with wireless headphones and gaming packages as well. total cost with professional install was <$400 for both. the added bonus is that they can watch their own shows rather than only one with the roof-mounted DVDs. i also have no rear-mirror viewing issues. the downside is that the leather color does not perfectly match (but i don't care) and that people in the 3rd-row wouldn't be able to watch on them (but again, i don't care since my kids sit in the 2nd-row). if you do want the dockable Visteon, as far as install is concerned, you should ask your Mazda dealer how much they would charge to install it and see if you can get the actual hardware from visteon shipped to you directly and save money on the markup of the player itself that the dealer would charge you. i still think you are running in the $600-900 total cost range. edit: sorry, i missed your question about the subs. i do not know the answer for sure but my understanding was the bose packages were the same (# speakers and subs) but i could be wrong.

I only got the dockable ent system because that particular dealer (Chicagoland) had it in inventory and gave it to me for cheaper than I could get any other one without it. So, it was sort of a throw in for me. My child it too young to use it now, but I figure that the DVD player might be useful in the future.
It will definitely block the rear view when the screen is flipped down. Probably OK for highway crusing, but not for active driving with lots of lane changes. The setup I have comes with only 1 sub. Also, as was mentioned, the gameboy is pretty dated and will probably be ancient history by the time it will be used in my vehicle. If you have kids, I would recommend getting the back of the headrest DVD aftermarket. It's probably cheaper, better quality, both seats will have a screen, and it won't block your view.
I was set on getting a moonroof because I feel like it makes the interior feel roomier. My last car had a moonroof that you could crack open, but not slide all the way open, so I really like this one.
