Zoomme, congrats sounds like you made a great deal. When I called though things seemed a little off. The guy said he could get my car (I was looking at) and upgrade it for 400 dollars more than my last quote. Then when I asked for a vin he wouldn't give it to me. When I asked to at least put the car in writing he sent me a description of a 2009 FWD. I then told him we originally talked about a AWD and he said he couldn't do the deal and it would be 2k more. At that point I was done. He did say he could still beat my offer by 500 dollars all he needed to do was find the car. I felt more comfortable with the other dealership so I decided not to do it, because again he would have to get the car and there was no proof of what he was getting.
You did get a great deal but for me I don't think I could trust these guys. Thanks for sending the information though. Have fun with your new CX-9!

Hello Zomme,

Can you share what interest rate you received? And was it with Mazda?

Thanks,

Bestdealoh, At first I'm also hesitant to do the deal because the car was not in stock and thinking I'm getting a great deal and they told and assure me they can find the car with the specs I wanted.I signed the purchase order with the VIN number and They took my trade and gave me a loaner. After a week they called me and said my car is ready for pickup. When I arrived, First thing I checked was the VIN Because there was also another CX9 same color like mine ready for pickup too.The VIN # they gave me was different from the actual car and they just made another purchase order ready for me to signed.Overall I was happy dealing with the dealership in the end for getting me the same spec.

I did get my own financing with my credit Union because you can't have Mazda special financing if you take 10K OFF.

I signed the purchase agreement yesterday for a Grand Touring 2008 brand new with Bose/sunroof, fro 27,723 + 60 Registration fee. I feel good about the deal there may have been some more room for negoating but I can't see that there was much. Once I get the paper work I will give you excat numbers for the Retail and MSRP. I know it started out with a sticker price of 36,135. I won't get it until tomorrow or Tuesday it was about 200 miles away and they had to go and get it.

My question now is the dealer is now trying to sell me Gap insurance, (isn't this why we have car insurance, I have an email into my insurance agent) 2nd they want to sell me an extension on my bumper to bumper warranty through CNA National Warranty Corp the XSeries. I just think there is to much of a markup on these? Any thoughts? They want $1280, The thing I don't like about it is it doesn't include sensors, blue tooth , proximity key passing sensors, rain sensing wiper sensors a lot of the things that I think would be possible problems down the road?
I would appreciate any feed back.

My husband made me do all the negoating on my own, and I feel good about the deal that I ended up with, it's a good feeling.
This site helped me tremendously.
Thank you all

Great deal - I am lookinn at the CX-9 and Pilot...like the way the CX-9 drives and also have had good luck with Mazda's in the past. Was actually looking at Used (08's), but with 10K off new, I'm thinking differently now. Is this 10K off a national deal? where did you hear about it?

Not exactly.

Say you total your CX-9 3 years from now and you still owe money on it. The insurance company will asses it at a certain value, say $15,000 (hypothetical), however, you owe $18,000. Well, you are still liable for the $3,000 difference. GAP insurance covers the "gap" between what you owe and what the insurance company is willing to pay out.

This is great to have if you put no money down on car to finance. Remember, all vehicles depreciate as soon as you drive it off the lot and you also added taxes and fees to your purchase.

If you obtain your financing via a credit union, most of them offer GAP insurance and extended warranties at a much better rate than the manufacturer.

My dealer on my new '08 CX-9 wanted to give me the 1.9%, but would only do it if I financed for 72 months. I refused, went to my credit union and am very satisfied- GAP insurance, credit life, extended warranty, the works.

That's Mazda's programs, not the dealers. 0% for up to 60 months and 1.9% for 72.

Did you get 1.9% financing through your credit union? I doubt it. The lowest rate I have seen on a 60 month financing is 4.7% through a credit union.

GAP insurance, credit life, extended warranty, the works.

Some credit unions do offer such benefits. I am not a fan of aftermarket warranty's, for those companies have a tendency to out of business. In my store we use only Mazda warranty's
