What does that mean? There is no way to look at a brand new CX-9 and tell how long it's been there.

Ops, I meant the state inspection sticker posted on the lower corner of the windshield; it indicates month and year when the car was inspected and is a good indication of when it arrived on the lot Mine has the inspection dated April/08 and was manufactured on Feb/08.

Not sure the state inspection and sticker are mandatory on all states, I am in NC.

Just paid $30K even for a $40,200 GT with just about everything on it. Nav, Bose, blind spot monitoring, power tailgate, moonroof, etc. ....$10,200 discount. It was in the Portland Oregon area. The only things it didn't have were the tow package, and the rear seat entertainment.

Definitely check your build date. It is in the driver's side door jam. The first few they showed me were built in August of 2007 and didn't have the self-dimming mirror with homelink or the blind spot monitoring system. We then "found" one in their storage area with 2 miles on the odomenter built in May of 2008.

I did not actually buy, but did receive a great quote, and they were willing to perform, but trade in ended up getting in the way in the end. I initally thought I would not trade anything in, but decided to at last moment, and unfortunately that killed the deal.

I am in Bay Area California. I agreed to a price of $9700 below MSRP. I negotiated a 22,000 even plus TTL deal on an AWD Sport with front power seat. I did not quite reach 10,000 off, but I figured I was close enough.

Obviously. Happy hunting everone.

Mazda does not post that on the window sticker.

The only way to tell is looking at the production date on the door jam. But, remember, these CX-9's come from Japan and are already 2 months old before dealers get them.

I have reviewed this site and now I know what to expect when I go shop around. I went to a dealership yesterday since it was the end of the month and the best price I could get was $35,200 (this was the out the door price)

Below are the features this car included.

Black on Black GT CX-9 AWD

ASSISTANCE PACKAGE
MOONROOF/BOSE/6 CD PACKAGE
TOWING PACKAGE
BLIND SPOT MONITORING SYSTEM
ALL-WEATHER FLOOR MATS
COMPASS/AUTO-DIM MIRROR WITH HOMELINK
FRONT/REAR SPLASH GUARDS
REMOTE ENGINE START
ROOF RAILS

I thought if I waited until the end of the month I would get a better price. This was a similar price I got 2 months ago from another dealership. When I was talking to the manager yesterday, he told me how he could not get any lower and he did not have any more money to discount.

I think next time I will not wait until the last day of the month, I will try a week before the end of the month. I was hoping to get $33,000 (out the door price). Is that too aggressive?

Hi Dandydonii,

$9700 below msrp for a Sport AWD is an awesome discount for the bay area. I was not able to get any dealers to go that low for a sport or touring last month (Sep/Oct). Good Job!

Was this for a white Sport AWD? Can you email me OR post the name of the dealer that you negotiated with? Thanks!

Avoid Mazda Credit Corporation - Unethical Practices by dfz1

In September I made my Mazda 5 lease payment. The company mis-posted the amount and processed the check for $90.00 less than what it should have been. I made my October payment.

In the last 24 hours I have received four phone calls from very rude individuals who each have given me a different story as to why I was late $90.00. I responded to the first call prior to researching the issue and stated I would send the amount immediately. I was then called three more times after that and was told they did not have an automated system to record the first calls.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and was given the name of an individual who does not even exist in the company. I was given a fax number and faxed a copy of the check to that number. When I went to call the person I had faxed it too I was told he did not exist in the company. Eventually after four more calls I found that in fact the fax was received and the issue was being researched.

Conclusion undoubtedly the most rude, arrogant and dishonest company I have ever done business with. I personally would not buy any product from Ford Motor company in the future including Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, Lincoln etc. If you do I would strongly recommend not financing through either Ford credit or Mazda.

While the financial future of this company in tenuous they have decided to abuse the customer probably as a strategy to maintain a dwindling cash flow. I also will not do business with the dealer Scott Mazda in Allentown PA.

I have filed a report with the FTC re the harassment by Ford Motor Company by telephone. The number of calls especially given the amount was excessive. The manner of the call agents varies from passive aggressive to out right hostel. These are cruel nasty people. They seem to find pleasure in harassing their consumers.

Just a little FYI, the people at Mazda Credit work for Ford Motor Credit and handle Mazda accounts. As of Oct. 15th 2008, Mazda no longer uses Ford Motor Credit as their financial arm. They now use JP Morgan Chase exclusively for financing and leasing.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been treated like this. Unfortunately, people who do basic work at banks and insurance companies really are not top notch in customer service, although they should be.

I really do not think it's wise to not buy another Mazda product because of this experience. I have always bought a car because of the car it's self, and have not bought the car because of the car it's self. Lets face it, Saturn has the best customer service in the industry, and I could car less how good they treat me, they still build a sub par vehicle.

All future financial transactions will be handled by JP Morgan Chase employees.
