If you are putting a good amount of money down, the rebate might be the best way to go. If you are financing the whole thing, the 0% is the way to go. |

Use Edmunds to check if the MSRP is around the ball park. link title You got $6.8k under the MSRP. I got quote that is $8.4k under the MSRP and I am not happy. But our situation might be different. You might need the car in a hurry. If you absolutely want this particular car from this particular dealer, you shall buy it. But maybe another dealer 30 miles away might have a car that maybe acceptable to you. Use link title to check for availability. Apply auto financing yourself to see what is the rate. CaptialOne offers a rate of 5.44% for 36 months. I am able to get even better at my local credit union. If you absolutely have to have that car right now. Buy it now. It might be gone in a few days. But knowing that we are in the middle of one of the greatest financial crisis, the chance that this vehicle will be gone is very low. In addition, if you are willing to shop around and wait, you will most likely do 1 or 2 thousands of dollars better. I hope I helped.

I just pulled the trigger on this one: 2008 AWD Touring with moonroof/Bose as the only option. Sticker: $35,310 Invoice: $32,584 Out the door: $25,950 (does not include TTL). The build date on this vehicle was 10/2007. I did not pay the doc. fee ($199), told them I wasn't financing with them so there wasn't much for them to do. I always feel I could have done better, but feel this was a very good, though not excellent, deal. I also got Kelly's "good" condition for my trade. The dealer, www.woodhouse.com, has more than forty 2008 CX-9s in stock and about thirteen 2009's. In addition to mine with the build date of 10/2007, I looked at a well equipped Sport with a build date of 08/2007. Both had 50 miles on them. John

Replying to: paulo6 (Oct 25, 2008 7:27 pm) you are currently getting "invoice" (which, despite its name, still has dealer profit in it) and cash back. you be able to get up to another $2500-3000 IF: (1) dealer will take more off "invoice" (maybe up to $1000) (2) dealer gets and gives you the bonus money he gets for meeting sales goals (up to $2000) a final note, i generally don't like car dealers, and i generally think they try to rip people off. that said, i think people should use this forum and other available information to get a good deal, but still pay a fair price. if there is truly no profit in a sale for a fealer, then you are helping put the dealer out of business. if we all take the view of "these are bad economc times, so squeeze out every penny," then we help create and continue that bad economy. i hope i'm never put in the position of selling at a loss because i'm forced to. my 2 cents...

just bought cx-9 touring. didn't want the GT bells and whistles, but really wish i had the memory driver's seat. does anyone know if it is possible to get a memory unit and hook up to the driver's seat in my touring? i would think the seat up is the same and only a memory chip and the memory buttons would be different, so i could just attach/plug-in a memory seat unit. all thoughts welcome, including where to get memory unit, how much to pay for it, ability to self install, how much to pay to install. thnx.
