But what are the deductibles for your plans?

hi lock,
to be honest, we did not discuss deductibles when i purchased it! that said, while i was doing some 'buyers remorse' after-the-fact pricing, i learned the $1350 price i paid has the $100 deductible. i think the same 10/100k with no deductible was around $1800-ish. whatever it was, i remember it was significant!

Does anyone think it might be a possibility that discounts for loaded 08 GT's might edge upwards of $12 to $15k closer towards the end of the year? or will the dealers just let them sit in inventory?

No. Some dealers still have a 2007 or two lying around. They will sit on a car for a long, long time before they go up to 12k, 15k is fantasy.

There are no more 2008s being made. If you want one that does not seem to be common, you may miss out. Then again, we haven't seen yet what the prices are going to be on the 2009s. Should be interesting.

The pricing on the '09 CX-9's is already out there. Prices are up about 1.5% from the '08 model year. Discounts in this area on '08's are running about $6,000. I got a quote on an AWD 2008 CX-9 Sport with power seat option. $25,100. Very tempting!

From MSN Autos:
The 2009 Mazda CX-9 receives updates including Bluetooth phone compatibility for CX-9 Sport, heated seats and outside mirrors for Sport with Power Seat Package and trip computer standard on all trim levels. The CX-9 Grand Touring now includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink and SIRIUS satellite is included in the Moonroof BOSE Audio Package and Rear Seat Entertainment System Package.

I went to Southern States Mazda on Wake Forest Avenue. Try Greg Phipps, excellent salesperson.

I have been researching cx-9 grand touring & am particularly interested in GT front wheel drive with Navigation & Moon roof options. MSRP with the options is $38,450. I have visited a few local dealers and was trying to get it for <30K out of the door (30K is max). But no luck so far. I went to another dealer today and told him what I was looking for & asked him if there are any promotions/incentives. The sales guy out right told me that there are no promotions for cx-9 (2008)?? May be he thought I'm dumb or he himself is dumb. I'm a serious buyer and the sales guy did not look serious at all. He did not even ask my name or phone#. It seemed odd especially in this market as he has atleast 10-15 cx9's on the lot. But he told me that there could be some incentives in November. Could there be more incentives coming? If so, I can wait till november. Any similar news from other dealerships??

I mean we haven't seen what the dealers are willing to do on the 2009, not what the sticker is

In addition to what ryster said,
From what I read, for 2009, the Bluetooth on the GT has A2DP support, meaning you can stream your audio (dual channels L/R for stereo) to the stereo of your CX9 w/o going thru aux jack. The Touring and Sports has no A2DP.

Also possible new accessories for 2009,
stainless steel rear bumper guard (in place of the plastic on top of the bumper) - US
side step tube - Canada

I have read the posts and it seems that 10K discount for loaded 08 GT's is what folks are getting.
I have two questions: The lowest quote i have received is
2008 Mazda CX-9 FWD
Grand Touring Model
Blind Spot Monitoring System
GT Assist Package
Rear Seat Entertainment System
With Bose Sound
Compass Auto Dimming Mirror with Homelink
Tinted Windows
Wheel Locks
Copper Red Mica
Sand Leather Seats
Price $31,089

1) I calculated the MSRP for the options above and it comes to $38415, this does not include the Wheel locks & Compass Auto Dimming Mirror with Homelink. Are they standard on the GT Touring or additional options? Does anybody know how much do these two options cost?
2) Based on current market conditions, how much should be the ideal price for the vehicle above? Should it be $38415 less $10,000 plus cost for Wheel locks & Compass Auto Dimming Mirror with Homelink?
3) What are the financing options made available by Mazda for October?
Will really appreciate any replies to my questions.
Thanks in advance

On the 2009, the streaming bluetooth is part of the navigation package. It is not standard on any model and not available at all on the Sport. For $2300, I'm fine with using the plug than a potentially lossy bluetooth connection for my music.

1. you should not have to calculate the MSRP. use the window sticker, or get the vin# and look up the vehicle using the search inventory function at mazdausa.com. but w/the extra features (mirrow/lock, which are not standard) it should be 39,590MSRP. mirror is $240, locks $50.

2. you should get $10k off 39590.

3. financing is 0% for 60 months, but you'll have to give up $4000 -- run the numbers on the edmunds calculator, but it's probably better to take cash.
