Replying to: klockboy (Aug 28, 2008 4:32 am) It is for Mazda to cover their cost of doing business in certain geographic regions. Personally I think they should raise the MSRP nationally to cover it, because it does at time become a sticking point in negotiations. |

I'd also love to know what you think of the change in incentives with the beginning of a new month. My dealer told me $10K for the labor day holiday but it is now reduced by $1K. Can we expect this to go back up??

| I've read the 08 cx-9 had an 4 year old dvd for nav system and a new one was coming out this fall. Is the new dvd for nav system available? Do dealers offer to replace old one in current 08 models that have not been sold? | |

I plan to purchase 2008 CX9 (Touring / Grand Touring trim) in the next 2 months and wondering if any has got best deals in the Central / Northern VA (including DC Metro) area. From recent posts, I notice that folks in some areas are getting close to 22 - 28% off MSRP or around $10000 less than MSRP on CX9's. Wondering if any has got similar deals in the VA/DC Metro area. If so, please share your experience with OTD price info.

I went to the dealer to complete the deal today. I was promised 23000+++ via phone (after 1 visit in person and 3 days of phone conversation), and when i went there they started all the paperwork(entered my name, addr, employer, pay details etc in their system) and then the sales person brought his manager. The manager simply brought a paper with him saying that the paper shows the invoice price(26700+) for the car and said that he cannot give the car for the price the salesman promised over phone, and asked me to take some other car in his lot that dont have any options installed. I was not happy and walked off. It would've saved a lot of time (both mine and a friend of mine who was giving me a ride to the dealer). I am planing to report this with Mazda as customer experience issue. This is for a CX-9 sport with a few options (msrp ~32400), the sale price written on the car was ~26700. I would've paid a little more if they only negotiated straight. Any advice in this situation is really appreciated.
