I bought an '08 GT FWD, moodroof/bose/navigation (basically everything but AWD and DVD) for $32,300. I got them to knock half off the navigation system because I bought another CX-9 and the computer went bad the first day. Since the computer is on backorder they wanted to give me a loaner for the duration. I told them to get me into another vehicle, one with navigation, and I would split the difference. They also ordered a roof rack for me at no charge. I am happy with my buying experience, and absolutely love my new CX-9. Milo Gordon Mazda, Lawton, OK. |

Does any one know the differences between the 2009 Cx-9 and the 2008 CX-9. I am in the market for a SUV with 7 seats, i am still deciding between a Acura MDX and this vehicle. I was getting quotes for an ACURA MDX with sport package for 38 K Where as this CX-9 , i best i could get was 32K ( with the navigation and moonroof packages ) . Is it worth it for going for CX-9 for a 6k difference ? I found that the Cx-9 depreciates a lot faster than the MDX

Comparing the GT package I got (see here) and MDX Base I was after, the GT has practially everything the MDX base had. On the top of that, the CX-9 has much larger and more comfortable interior, especially in the third row seat area and cargo room, and much quieter ride while still being very responsive. And look at those beautiful 20" wheels... If you are unsure, test-drive both and see what you like more. |

Hi, all... after lurking through this forum and others for current pricing, I went in well-prepared to deal on an '08 CX-9. Without your posts and price quotes I wouldn't have known about the possibilities on this car. Thanks! Picked up an '08 GT AWD, 23 miles, GT assist, tow package, blind spot monitor, moonroof/Bose. Sticker was $40,290 and they agreed to $33,290 on a cash deal, and added surprisingly fair valuation of a ~$5k trade-in. I'm sure even better deals can be struck, especially if the car you're interested in is on the dealer's lot. In my case, they retrieved our car from another bay area dealer... I could've gone to the other dealership and dealt with them instead, but our "neighborhood" dealer's sales staff had spent their time and effort with me and they will also be our service site. It does look like the mazda.com "inventory search" is quite accurate, that's for sure. One note for other buyers: inspect the paint on these cars carefully; many have been on the lot for the entire summer and have been poorly washed/dried MANY times. Expect to see water spots on the darker color paints... etched water spots can be almost impossible to remove, even with a clay bar or mechanical polishing by a detailer. This is a valid negotiation point to use in your deal. |

New or enhanced for 2009: * Trip computer standard on all models * Bluetooth phone capability added to Sport model * Sirius satellite radio added to Moonroof, BOSE® Audio Package and Rear Seat Entertainment System Package * Auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink® added to Grand Touring model * Heated seats and heated outside mirrors added to Sport Power Seat Package * Trailer tow preparation standard on AWD note: according to my understanding (take MDX as an example)... Tow Preparation means you get large-capacity radiator, larger transmission cooler and special programming (like those in 2008 tow package), maybe even the trailer wiring, but you don't get the hitch itself. After all, hitch added 30lb of dead weight if one does not need it. |

Here is what was offered to me at Wantagh Mazda, NY: CX-9 Touring AWD Moonroof/Bose MSRP: 35,400 took 4,000 rebate e-plan (supposedly) Price offered before taxes: 28,550 OTD: 31,000 I think this is an OK deal, but can see by your posts I can get either a GT for that price or more options. I was thinking about going back and making an OTD offer at 29,000. Is this a bad idea. In addition, a lease was offered to me: $2600 intial payment will buyout my lease ($500) 36 month 16,500 miles $439 per month Need some advice...think i can do better on both. |
