Some of these crossovers seem awfully tiny but the Outlander seems to have some room in it. Where I am I see quite a few Endeavors and even some Montaros. BTW, why did Mitsu stop making the Diamonte? That car looks good inside and out.

Lastly, looks like Mitsu is gonna try and take advantage of the weak dollar by ramping up production at the Normal, IL facility and increasing US exports to China. Here's the article link as well as an excerpt click here "Mitsubishi Motor plans to export U.S.-made cars to China and the Middle East, and expand its exports to Russia, while Nissan plans to expand exports to the Middle East. Reporting for Reuters by Elaine Lies; Editing by Ben Tan" http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2008/03/17/081122.html |

Mitsubishi Lancer and EVO X. Evidently in the UK they have been praised for their sound design and great looks already, but, it's cool to see that the appraisers there are putting the new compact's resale values at all-time highs. Mitsubishi's hard work is paying off, gentlemen! Take a look-see. http://paxtech.blogspot.com/2008/02/best-ever-residual-values-announced-for.html- - I have thought these same thoughts as I drive and enjoy my '08 Lancer GTS but it is really nice to hear from those in the industry, including the UK.

Just because they called the Eclipse "The most disappointing new car of 2006" and said it was the least fun to drive? Just because they said the Galant was an OK car competing with better ones? Just because they made snide remarks about Lancer and Outlander and Endeavor and... For CR there is Honda and Toyota and nothing else. |

magazine. They make good...ummm...hamster fodder. I have never seen a more biased, inconsequential piece of garbage magazine than Consumer Reports. I already went through all of their crap with my last two new cars, a '99 Kia Sephia and a 2001 Kia Sportage 4X4. They were truly very good vehicles and the cost-to-own them was very reasonable. And guess how Clodsumer Retorts treated Kia? Right. I find their peddlings to be mere drivel, though. You're right, if it ain't Hon-Duh or Thai-ot-a with Clodsumer Retorts it ain't worth a toot. Their product is baseless and lame. Very, very lame. OTOH-Mitsubishi is a bright star on the rise, gentlemen. |

A lot less sugar coating from Mitsu this year... April 1, 2008 -- Cypress, Calif. -- Mitsubishi Motors today announced total March 2008 sales of 10,750. Galant was the volume leader at 2,676, up 26.6% from last March's volume. This was Galant's best first quarter in three years. Lancer closed at 2,514, up 32.7% from last March's volume. This was also Lancer's best first quarter in three years. Overall Mitsubishi sales were off 14.2% for March compared to March 2007 sales of 12,536. http://media.mitsubishicars.com/detail?mid=MIT2008040148996&mime=ASC or just click here

Replying to: mikevegas06 (Apr 01, 2008 5:22 pm) That's not too bad. GM and Chrysler were off 19%. Even Toyota was off 10%. I'm just glad I did my part to keep Mitsu afloat.

Replying to: toomanyfumes (Apr 02, 2008 4:54 pm) I found this article on msn.com about Consumer Report's rating of the top reliable used vehicles. Mitsu has two in the list -- the Outlander and the Endeavor. The article is too long to post... click here or copy and paste http://editorial.autos.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-documentid=435706 oldfarmer, how many times has the misses driven the Eclipse
