Replying to: tiff_c (Mar 05, 2008 8:34 pm) According to the Mitsu website (which is now updated and contains the 08 EVO) Roadside Assistance is standard. Only the GSR trim is listed on the website at this time. Also, here's the link to the pdf of the EVO brochure. 08 EVO brochure

Funny thing is Mitsu seems to be having a lot of trouble with their new automatic. Funny how they have had so many delays for such a highly anticipated cars. Subaru STi's are already in showrooms now. Such a shame it has such serious understeer problems. |

as to my '08 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS and it's tire situation, we are doing just fine with the local shop's fix of my LF tire(formerly the left rear tire, before the tire rotation). I no longer am losing any air and, just as important, I don't have the "pulling to the left" problem some '08 Mitsubishi Lancer owners are complaining about. For an explanation of the "pulling to the left" issue just go to '2008 Mitsubishi Lancer' here on Edmunds. During the time we were discussing this issue a poster left a link to another site, in which '08 Lancer owners blogged endlessly about how they were gonna stick it to Mitsubishi etc, etc and blah-blah-blah. It is true, a brand new Lancer shouldn't pull to the left, especially with no fix given so far from the Big M that will absolutely fix the problem. I know there is a fix that can be found, has to be, right? I guess tire rotations, re-mounting and balancings, wheel alignments, and even complete new sets of tires were not doing the trick for these '08 Lancer drivers and owners. So I'm happy about my car, fully and completely. On Monday the 17th I'm heading to the dealership we bought from in Avondale, AZ, which is about 9 miles west of Phoenix. Yep, Avondale Mitsubishi...it'll be cool to go back to where it all began. Oh, the reason why is it's time for another 'Auto Butler' paint protectant double-coating. It looks so cool after this 'Auto Butler' treatment, men. First, they wash the outside and vacuum the interior. They get rid of all of the smashed-in bug guts on the front because they can't have them there to put the protectant coating on. So, last time this was done, my wife, son and I took one of their shuttle vans to the movie theater nearby and saw '3:15 to Yuma.' When we got back and I saw my car my eyes bugged out a tad! So this time we're gonna take a friend from Willcox and either go see a movie or "shop till we drop" was the description given of what we could go do. I'll let ya all know how she turns out late Mon. the 17th or Tuesday the 18th. To me, this is the kind of car that you get excited about cleaning up real well. mikevegas06, what Mitsubishi do you have again, the Outlander SUV?

Even though I passed it half a dozen times, my eye was always drawn to it. I also want to take back my former negative comments about Mitsu's "Go Time" car ads. They are actually quite nice. Defiantly geared toward the younger set but fun to watch. The Lancer ads really caught my eye. This was where there is a close-up of a guy racing his Lancer and they say something like " Three cars one spirit" or something like that. |

Didn't know that the Lancer's were experiencing lane drift problems. I remember that Nissan and Acura had severe tire wear problems on certain models some years ago. Not quite the same as lane drift, but the solution was revising the camber and toe in/toe out (if memory serves me correctly). At any rate it was a fix that the dealer had to perform after their company engineers figured out the solution. We've got three Mitsu's in the house. My wife drives an 04 Montero Limited, my daily car is an 03 Outlander XLS AWD, my every once in awhile car is a 92 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo AWD (i.e. Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX) Oldfarmer, I like those new commercials too. We'll get to see even more of them since Arena football season starts soon.

Ewan Macgregor and another guy ride BMW motorcyles around the world with Mitsu Montero's as chase vehicles. They comment on camera how they can't believe what these stock grocery getters can do off road. |

The car I saw in front of my dealership the other day turns out to be an EVO X not a Lancer Raliart. I know this for sure because they put "EVO X" in 2 foot letters on the side for guys like me who can't tell the difference. Still looks very hot. Actually I'm glad it's not a Raliart. At about 27K the Raliart might be in my price range if I sold everything I own. The 33K for the EVO would cost me a kidney.

Replying to: oldfarmer50 (Mar 15, 2008 10:26 am) Oh, you're speaking for me too. And, that Prototype S (Ralliart wagon) will definitely get me in trouble if I steer any where a Mitsu dealership when it arrives. It would make a mighty fine replacement for my old outlander.

Replying to: mikevegas06 (Mar 15, 2008 2:41 pm) I'm starting to see more Outlanders around here lately. They look pretty nice to me (and I'm not a SUV fan). Some of these crossovers seem awfully tiny but the Outlander seems to have some room in it. Where I am I see quite a few Endeavors and even some Montaros. BTW, why did Mitsu stop making the Diamonte? That car looks good inside and out.
