I heard a rumor that Mini is holding 2007 Coopers at the US ports and not releasing them to the dealers and customers right away as they are planning for a simultaneous Feb 17 release in the US. If this is true, it doesn't seem to be fair on the customers who have been waiting for a long time to enjoy the 2007 Coopers. Does anyone have any info on this? Replying to: rsbetc (Jan 15, 2007 4:26 pm) i was told by my local mini dealer that they will be holding the minis until the release date. i cant remember if he said if it will be at the port or at the dealerships. i checked and mine is at the "scheduled for production" phase. i placed my order in november. cant wait for the road trips

I placed and order for my MCS on 12/16. My MA just informed me that the production has been completed even though MiniUSA.com shows the status as SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION. And now I've found that Mini will be holding the cars at their Distribution Center till 2/17. My MA told me that if lots of angry customers email Mini, they might release the cars sooner.
