Thanks to everyone who contributed to this forum. The information here is invaluable in the purchase/negotiation process.   Just bought a 2010 RX350 FWD from Lexus of Cerritos with the following equipment:   - Premium package. - Heated and ventilated front seats. - Wood and leather-trimmed steeling wheel and shift knob. - Backup camera (rearview mirror screen) - Cross bar - Cargo net, cargo mat, wheel lock   MSRP $42,336, final price $38,200 plus TTL with no trade involved. That was a discount of $4,136 from MSRP, not bad for a lightly loaded car. (Had I opted for models with Navigation, I would have got at least $5k off sticker. Reference for those interested.)   I requested quotes via Edmunds from several dealerships in the area, including Longo, Crown (Ontario), Tustin, Park Place (Mission Viejo). Lowest quote was around $38,700.   According to Edmunds, the invoice for this car was about $37,420 (I had to add on items that were not on Edmunds list, including the $450 increase for EnForm, whatever that is.) The invoice claimed by the dealers varies, but generally in the range of $38,500 to $38,770. There was approximately $1,200 unexplained discrepancy with Edmunds. I did not bother to ask to see the invoice, because I believed that would only complicate the negotiation.   As mentioned in my earlier post, I originally wanted it with the Navigation. However, anything with Navi has a sticker price of $47,000+ because other "extra" Lexus loaded on it. I was just not going to spend $5k for a GPS. (Or $4k considering the higher discount I would have received.)   The sales consultant at Lexus of Cerritos was very professional and straight forward. Got quoted $450 / month (includes 6% tax) for a 48 month lease on 2010 RX 350 RWD with premium package. Quote based on $1500 cap reduction. Any thoughts if this is a good deal?

Any one who have recently purchased RX350 AWD in Philadelphia area and would like to know at what price did you get and from which dealer.    Any insight to this would be appreciated!

Replying to: sympl123 (Oct 18, 2009 11:03 am) I did make the same purchase this past week same deal, actually I looked at both options with and without the Nav package. The final price with destination charge was $39500 without the nav from 3 dealers and $41,500 with the nav. One dealer showed me the invoice costs (take it that it actual) $39,190 invoice price with destination costs for no Nav and $41,050 for package with the Nav, now the dealer was a neighbor who shared this (wont disclose the dealership). This is in North NJ. The deal was struck over the internet, I saw the invoice price once I had agreed on the price, I said that if I did not see the invoice I would not sign, but once I did regardless of how far I was I would pay the agreed price. Ultimately my trade in was also what captured me and the dealer gave me the guarantee price over the internet. As a customer you should demand what you want. If your trade in is worth between $1000 and $500 tell them that you want the middle value. Right now dealers are eager to strike a deal, a car less on their lot is better than a car seating there. Lastly ask as close to invoice as possible and work through the Internet, I went to Warnock and Bridgewater and was quoted a $1300 more over what I pay, both dealers buldge. Only after working the internet did I get what I wanted to pay. The two dealers that I went to personally were nice, but they did not want to deal, they wanted to make a nice profit while nobody was at their dealership. Thanks to them I got my Lex over $4500 below MSRP. Best of check my dealer recommendation, you will see my rating and you can determine who I selected.   Regards!
