Replying to: rparis (Nov 01, 2009 6:21 am) MSRP:$47,250 Price before tax & tags: $43,294.25 Dealer processing:$100 Tax:$1,013.66 Lic/Doc:$289.00 Total $44,696.91 Traded in my '08 IS 250 AWD for the KBB excellent condition amount. Took the printout in and said it was contingent on getting that price in trade. Mostly smooth transaction at Lexus of Towson. Everything was fine until the monthly payment "accidentally" increased by $10 on the contract at signing. Caught it and told them that the deal was for $10 less per month for the 60 months. Minor hiccup, but they eventually "corrected" the mistake and I got the deal we initially agreed upon. |

Replying to: tmacb3 (Nov 01, 2009 1:02 pm) "Turned out we saved about $1500 buying the car at another dealership (Lexus of Chandler). We ended up purchasing our Lexus from Superstition Springs Lexus (Mesa Arizona)." Enjoy your RX...I'm waiting for some incentives on 2010 model when 2011 model arrives in Feb-March. Bell and Arrowhead Lexus seems to be the worst dealers in sales and service and both are owned by the same group, I suppose. |

Confusing... "Turned out we saved about $1500 buying the car at another dealership (Lexus of Chandler). We ended up purchasing our Lexus from Superstition Springs Lexus (Mesa Arizona)." Yea, it is confusing the way I wrote it. What I meant was that the sales rep who waited for four days to get back to me was from Chandler Lexus, We saved about $1500 going with Superstition Springs Lexus. Sorry. |

Replying to: sanish (Nov 01, 2009 3:33 pm) The re-designed, 3rd-generation RX came out around April, 2009 as an early 2010 model. However, that does not mean the 2011's will arrive in Feb-March, 2010. Most likely, you won't see them in the showroom until September.

2010 RX 350 AWD Starfire Pearl/Parchment Premium Backup mirror Heated & Ventilated seats Wood steering wheel/ shifter trim Towing prep package All weather mats $40550 + 195 doc fee = 40750 OTD Called several places within a 4 hour drive of the area. Chicago dealerships were not willing to negotiate at all. $1k off msrp. Bought from Plaza in St. Louis and dealt with the typical dealership hassles... Not a very pleasant experience... Longo Lexus in CA would go down to $40k. JP

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this forum. The information here is invaluable in the purchase/negotiation process. Just bought a 2010 RX350 FWD from Lexus of Cerritos with the following equipment: - Premium package. - Heated and ventilated front seats. - Wood and leather-trimmed steeling wheel and shift knob. - Backup camera (rearview mirror screen) - Cross bar - Cargo net, cargo mat, wheel lock MSRP $42,336, final price $38,200 plus TTL with no trade involved. That was a discount of $4,136 from MSRP, not bad for a lightly loaded car. (Had I opted for models with Navigation, I would have got at least $5k off sticker. Reference for those interested.) I requested quotes via Edmunds from several dealerships in the area, including Longo, Crown (Ontario), Tustin, Park Place (Mission Viejo). Lowest quote was around $38,700. According to Edmunds, the invoice for this car was about $37,420 (I had to add on items that were not on Edmunds list, including the $450 increase for EnForm, whatever that is.) The invoice claimed by the dealers varies, but generally in the range of $38,500 to $38,770. There was approximately $1,200 unexplained discrepancy with Edmunds. I did not bother to ask to see the invoice, because I believed that would only complicate the negotiation. As mentioned in my earlier post, I originally wanted it with the Navigation. However, anything with Navi has a sticker price of $47,000+ because other "extra" Lexus loaded on it. I was just not going to spend $5k for a GPS. (Or $4k considering the higher discount I would have received.) The sales consultant at Lexus of Cerritos was very professional and straight forward. I highly recommend the dealership and the sales consultant.

| Got quoted $450 / month (includes 6% tax) for a 48 month lease on 2010 RX 350 RWD with premium package. Quote based on $1500 cap reduction. Any thoughts if this is a good deal? | |
