I had one guy at my house for 90 minutes, and he was not working hard, and I paid $1200. Used, you can install yourself or pay someone a LOT less. If you switch to the blended rate from SoCal, gas is about $1.30 per gallon. My unit has 2000 hours it. It is working perfectly. I am going to leave it installed until it is sold so people can see it working. I'm thinking $2,000 for the unit - what do you think? They run for 6,000 before requiring a rebuild, and can be rebuilt 3 times, so there are still 22,000 out of 24,000 hours of life left. I really liked the Phill. I got better range, I saved a lot of time, and I cut my fuel bills in half. I'd have to say that the time saving and convenience were more important to me than the money though.

Replying to: lakewood90712 (Mar 20, 2008 5:05 pm) I live in Cerritos, can I come over sometime to get the good rate for an overnite Phill when you get it set up. : ) I have been reading a lot of your helpful posts on this forum about filling up around the Long Beach area. I normally use the facility on Mulberry in SFS (near my work) but the price is $2.64. I have been also using the one in the Gas Co on Rosemead in Pico but today it was $2.45. Neither seem to give me a complete fill (only around 3200 psi at best) Where around us do you get the best fill and value? Thanks, Matt

I paid $24,500 for my 2008 Civic GX at Scott Robinson Honda of Torrance. I called all 14-15 Honda dealers in So Cal that carried the Civic GX and all exept Scott Robinson insisted they wanted the full MSRP of $25,225 and would not budge. Naturally, given a choice, a chose to pay less. I am very happy with the '08 Civic GX...and it looks like between the federal tax credit of $4000 and the CA driving alternatives rebate of $3000 (they're out of money now), the price is about what a regular Civic would have cost. |
