Hello, car_man --

Could you share the lease terms for a Sport AWD in the Chicago area? I'm looking at 36 months/10,500 miles.

Thanks!

#773 of 778 Discount for Demo? by chicagopjp

Feb 06, 2013 (8:46 am)

I've located a 2013 Edge Sport with the exact combination of options I'm seeking. It's a dealer demo with about 4000 miles on it. I'm told it's been driven by a salesman at the dealer. The sticker is $43,275, and the dealer quoted me $40,026 (before incentives). That's 8.5% off sticker. I'm struggling with how to determine what kind of a discount is fair for the miles on the car.

My only frame of reference is a quote from another dealer for an exact copy of this demo (and thus, the exact same sticker), but brand new. The price on that one, which isn't to the dealer yet but is in transit, is $41,816 (again, pre-incentives). It seems to me that the 4000 miles on the demo should be worth more than that $1800 difference, but I don't really know.

Any thoughts?

I just leased a 2013 Edge Limited AWD. 301A Package, vision package, 20'inch wheels/rims, tow package, black ex/black int. This is from the Madison, WI area. I went to Keyser and they gave me a very good offer from the start. This was a locate - they didn't have the exact one I wanted on their lot. They had it delivered and ready within 24 hours.

Also, the 750 coupon is still available if you request the Boucher on ford.com, but keep in mind it takes about 3 weeks to come. I didn't get mine in time, but still feel I got a good deal. Old car blew up (drove it in smoking) and they still gave me 2k for it.

MSRP 42,590
discount 2,390.00
negotiated price 40,200

Trade-in 2000.00
cash down 2000.00

1,250 cash lease incentive

36 month 12k/yr

424.00 monthly payments.

I also got them to throw in the all-weather mats for free. Hope that helps others. This site and car_guy really helped me in my search, so I wanted to post my info for others.

Cheers!

#776 of 778 Ford Edge Limited lease or purchase with bad credit by layer3switch

May 07, 2013 (6:41 pm)

Folks,

Thanks to a miserable divorce,my credit is an absolute mess... I need a new car, and have my mind set on a Ford Edge Limited. I'm in a position to pay off most of the debt I have in the next 30 days, but my credit is most likely in the low 500's. What are my options with regards to purchasing or leasing a car? Should I just forget about it for now given my credit situation? I have the income to support the purchase of the car, and looking to put 5K down. Any advice?

Any on-line suggestions for fiance I should consider?

Thanks very much for any advice...

Hello smiton. Ford Credit's current base lease rate and residual value for a 24-month lease of a 2013 Edge Sport FWD with 12,000 miles per year are 0.25% and 65%. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36-month lease are 1.75% and 57%.

The lease rates are the same for the AWD model, but the residual values would be 1% higher.

There is a $1,750 cash incentive on leases of this truck right now.
