primo. Mitsubishi enrolls in the Paris-Dakar races with their Outlander's and Lancer's and wins them, then rolls whatever they learned from those racing experieinces in to the production of their new automobiles. I am totally smitten by my '08 Lancer GTS.

What color is your Lancer, broonsby? I put this new Lancer bodystyle right there with the '65 Ford Mustang as my favorite car bodystyles in automotive history.

No offense, but isn't there a site dedicated to Mitsubishis? As an aside, when I was stationed in Nagoya Japan back in the 50s,my base (Ozone coumpound) was accross the street from a huge Mitsu. factory complex.I guess that is where they built Zeros.

No offense taken. As I've said in my previous posts, I just didn't like the gas mileage (20mpg is unimpressive) and was nit-picking about the controls. The mileage could easily have been affected by abuse the car has taken earlier since it was a rental.

And as I would like to point out, KIA is Killed-In-Action - Korean style. We are at least not at war with Japan anymore (not militarily at least). Yes, I know it is made in South Korea, a country we don't have an issue, but we spilled a lot of blood there for a stalemate.

last time I averaged...10 fill ups...31.4 about 90% highway.
My very last highway fill up was 37.9,that was almost all highway, maybe 98%.
Like I said, very good on the highway, and very mediocre in the city, mostly because my car makes such short trips, less than 2 miles, that it doesn't get a chance to get warm.Somewhere between 14 & 15.
If the driving was split even, 50-50,it's about 23-24 MPG.
I have not filled up recently, but after driving from Sandusky Oh to Kewanee Il,my computer indicated I had 130 miles left to empty.I have no complaints with that.

Ok. I have my first mostly highway tank. 85% highway/15% town and I ended up with 30mpg. I am up to about 2700 miles total now. Total mileage is 23.3mpg with 30% Highway/70% town.

I have a 2007 4cyl with auto and i am averaging 25 to 28 mostly hwy driving. I thought it would average over 30. I use cruise control and drive the posted speed limit which is not over 70 mph. Let me know if I am out of line complaining about the mileage I am getting. By the way I have 14300 miles on the Optima so I should be past the break in period. Any help out there? Thanks
