I wonder if the same High end spark plugs are the same size and number i need for my 4 cyl. Sonata?......id love to crank it up and improve my MPG...just like he did with his Optima

Replying to: caaz (Jul 04, 2007 7:40 am) Caz...my Optima has a 2.4 engine.I do use cruise, and drive posted speeds.Mostly 65 MPH,but a lot of 70,through Indiana, and a Little 55 MPH on our way to I80. 35 is not my best.One tank in May I managed 36.1. Oh yes,that is with AC on.

06.5 Optima I4 W/Auto.   Running from the north side of Philly to No. Carolina holding the speed limit got us about 37 MPG average on this round trip.   Suburban driving averages mid 20s.   Not a lead foot but will run the speedlimit + a bit.   Be picky on your maintenance. Pretty good considering St. Louis low emission gas and 100 degree temps.
