Timotheus, if you are out there.... I am having the same radio/sound issue. I would appreciate it if you could share whether or not your dealer was able to fix the problem, and what it was. email: c_k_thomas |

I have had my Acadia for about 4 hours and have a question that hopefully someone out there knows. We have the navagation and rear DVD entertainment system. I was not aware that it did not have a 6 cd player AND that you could not listen to cd's while a dvd was being watched in the rear. Does anyone else have a different option with both the navagation and entertainment system that allows the dual playing CD/DVD?

Replying to: mss42 (Apr 20, 2007 9:50 pm) Other then that, we love this car. The navagation system is absolutely awesome. We used it this weekend to get to a golf tournament. Took us right to the front gate. |

Replying to: jujujlm (Apr 19, 2007 6:16 pm) This really torqued me, especially since it also applies to the Yukon Denalis, which are expensive vehicles (my older Denali has 6-disc changer in the center console; but they don't offer that anymore). However, when I really thought about it, we RARELY listen to CD's now. The new vehicles have MP3 input which is a whole lot easier way to bring a lot of music in your car. And when you are driving down the road, can you really discern sound quality of a CD vs MP3?? (if you are that much of an audiophile you are probably buying aftermarket stereos anyway). If you really want both, have an upscale stereo shop add a CD changer for you. |

I bought my Acadia in March I have taken it in twice for a popping noise as it shifts from first to second gear and sometimes a couple more after second to third. Each time they have fixed several other things they call "re-call" items, but not this one. The first time they told me the transmission issue was known. It was a re-programming of the computer. I was told it was fixed. It was not. The next time I took it in, I asked for a copy of the service record. From the first time they listed the problem as "unable to duplicate, customer told to return if problem persists" The second time they kept it a couple of days. They told me this time that it was not the transmission, but the suspension and GMC is aware of the problem, but did not have a fix for it yet. They would keep checking and keep me updated. Yet, once again on the service record they wrote "Could not duplicate enough to diagnose" Makes me quite suspicious as I drove the technician around to show him the problem and he heard it. I have been searching for similar issues, but have not seen any. Love the truck, but my dealership is horrible! Stokes-Hodges GMC in Thomson, Ga. DO NOT buy from this dealer. Very dishonest and deceitful.
