If you have a Verizon share the minute plan it would only add $9.95/month (plus tax and fees) to add it as another line to your plan. Of course, that is another number to keep up with...or do you have to transfer your other phone to the mobile number each time you get in to drive so callers can track you down?

I'm not sticking up for GM on this one. I don't use bluetooth and I have not added my Envoy On-Star to my Verizon plan. I'm assuming that Verizon actually furnishes the signal/network that On-Star uses. On-Star is a part of GM, so they are self-serving in pushing that on buyers.

It wasn' a show stopper for me when I purchased my Yukon last year and it won't be for any future GM vehicles. However, GM should look at making it an option.

Does anyone know if you can get a second row bench vs. the captains chairs? If you have a family of five the current configuration takes away the potential to fold down the third row.

Yes you can get the bench and as hardhawk stated it's actually cheaper than the captains. But also keep in mind that the 3rd row is a 60/40 split bench, so you could fold down one side of the 3rd row and still carry 5 with the captains.

Appreciate the advise, but I want to put three young kids in the second row and only use the back row for my dogs, my childrens freinds, and my outlaws, in that order based on priority!

Brought one home to try out tonight by cravenfan

I talked to the local dealer about bringing home a tester tonight. He was concerned, as it's snowing like crazy and that was one of the main reasons I wanted to try it to compare to my 99 Yukon. Flawless in the snow! Great grip with the tire skid management. I was bummed out about the center consol only having one A/C plug in, until I found the secret hide a way under the change container. That thing is deep! Anyone find the "James Bond" smoke show when you hit the gas annoying? I tried the most basic model and I think I might be sold. Not sure about waiting for an 08 however? I hear they might be made in June? Weird...

Smoke show by cravenfan

Maybe it's the first time I've driven a duel pipe that comes out the back, but when I hit the gas, the white exhaust seems to "smoke up" the back window, so much I can't even see who was behind me for a bit.

The dealer told me today that was due to condensation in the tailpipes and the exhaust sytem and engine being new with no miles. He said that would go away with some miles.

We love our new Acadia. Got it two weeks ago and we're starting to drive it more now after Spring Break. Anyway, we have lots of hills in our neighborhood and we are having a hard time getting used to the transmission in this vehicle. We have experienced the "downshift" problem (as in that it doesn't downshift quickly) and we find that the acceleration is not as responsive as our old Town & Country. It handles well and we love the appointments (my wife got the Metallic Brown) and we get lots of stares and comments. However, is there any way to tweak the transmission in these vehicles or is it a case of "it is what it is".

Test drove the Acadia 5 days ago after totalling my '05 Signature Series Pacifica. I loved the extra passenger room and storage in the back. Drove it through windy, hilly road and was not happy with the power it had going up hills. My first concern is safety and my Pacifica proved that well. After withstanding 3 hits by an 18-wheeler, all it sustained was rear and front bumper damage. Built like a tank is what the collision shop told us! But axles were all bent and not worth fixing. Considering the incentives Chrysler is offering, we will be going back.
Hats off to Acadia for a great-looking crossover with lots of space. But I think we'll wait until GMC gives you some incentives to buy and they perfect the engine problem.
