Feb. of 03 bought new Park Ave. 10 months later Buick bought it back vibration problem they couldn't locate with only 5500 miles. Went over to Honda, 04 Odyssey kept that for 19,000 miles lots of road noise, rode like a truck, many rattles. Also bought a 04 Element, same problem lots of road noise all over the road changed tires twice and alligned all 4 wheels no difference in drive and bad service. Traded both in on Toyota's 05 Sienna and 06 Avalon. Sienna's great quiet, smooth very easy to drive, wife's van but for me 6'2" 230# no room for me in driver's seat very uncomfortable also windshield distorted on botton up 2" causing white or yellow lines in street to come into vehicle not just pass by. Avalon has hesitation w/transmission specially in cold weather in traffic & turning into streets rpm's build up b4 trans catches. Not great advise from Toyota's 1-800# aslo faxed article from a Sunday newspaper highliting this problem w/trans. Toyota did not want to hear my complaint claimed no transmission problem won't do a thing, dealer has been great. Talked w/few other Avalon owners who thought it was way they were driving. Drove the Arcadia twice only in city found it to be great but very noisy from rear wheel wells driver seat very roomy & comfortable. Am waiting for the Enclave supposed to be completely quiet. I want to come back to the domestic brands hoping GM shows me the way but won't if noisy or not enough room in driver seat. By the way I like vans more then crossovers and the Caravan will be out in Sept. 07 redesigned w/windows going down in sliding doors. Remember never buy new models till 2nd year. Want to get away from foreign, specially Toyota & Honda their 1-800# people aren't nice specially Mr. Havon from Toyota. |

Replying to: army3 (Mar 21, 2007 5:13 pm) Domestic: I like the Cadillac DTS. The CTS gets a new look this fall for the '08 model and it looks GREAT. They added AWD to it. I also still like the 300C but not the looks too much. It has plenty of room and offers many amenities only found on the high-end cars. The Maxima is also nice as well as the Chevy Impala SS. Very fast but there's little room in the Impala. Speaking of fast, test drive the Chevy Trailblazer SS I'm glad I kept an open mind to foreign although, I will more than likely purchase American this year. It hurts me to see so many people lose their jobs. |

| Does anyone know if you can get a second row bench vs. the captains chairs? If you have a family of five the current configuration takes away the potential to fold down the third row. | |

Ok so I went to my local GMC dealer ready to trade my aging Highlander on a new Acadia. With family in tow we poured over the Acadia liking most everything we saw. GM seems to have a winner -- or does it? I asked about bluethooth for my phone and was told I could use ONSTAR, for .20/minute or Verizon had a phone number for each vehicle that I could use if I wanted to get a Verizon account. Well damn I already got 2 Verizon accounts I sure don't need another. GM really screwed this up again.....Well on the bright side the Highlander is getting redesigned as is the Pilot. And if they stink I will get an MDX by August/Sept. Anyone know Bob Lutz's email. I'd like to tell him he lost a buyer who was looking to be converted. |
