You know it is a 6T75 not a 6T70 transmission. Yes it was codeveloped by ford and gm but they have different torque ratings, and different computer programing. By saying it is the same someone might assume the Ford drives the same, even though the engine is different and the transmition is different. You might think im nit picking here, but if its programed different and has different components (as evident by the weight difference between the 6T75 and 6T70) its not the same and it wont drive the same as the ford, for good or bad. Enough anal retentiveness out of me...

If GM could put this kind of effor into a minivan maybe they could sell them. I'm sorry but I will not give up the sliding doors just to get into something called a CUV. It just won't happen and I dont' think the majority of minivan owners will although I'm sure GM hopes they will.

The first drive was very interesting and the Acadia sounds like a great vehicle. I would like to know how it ride and handles compared to a normal sedan as well as what the plastics quality inside is like.

Any idea of the reliability of the engine and transmission since both of these are fairly new.

Have heard that there will also be a Chevy version - a concern having four versions of the same vehicle (Saturn, Buick, GMC and Chevy).
But overall looks good from GM.

I have driven both the Outlook and the Acadia and the Acadia is by far the better value. I drove the Acadia today. I liked it so much that I bought one. It should be coming in in about 8 weeks. It rides so smoothly and it is so quiet.

My wife and kids drove the Acadia today and was very impressed. Liked everything except the power wasn't too exciting. (Just sold a Hemi Durango) What do you expect for 275hp and 26mpg on the highway?!?!?

Torque steer was a little annoying but I'm sure it is just a getting used to type thing.

Want to see the new Mazda CX-9 before making a decision. We also like the Audi Q7 (too pricey) though. Maybe a Durango hybrid.

When do expect the lease numbers on this vehicle to get competitive? Nice is nice but I'm a pretty savvy consumer. I know they are in trouble, so they need to show the money. ha ha

Acadia warrants a trip to the dealer by njvike

I have only seen one so far but that wasn't at my local dealership. Looks like a winner to me and I will be taking a serious look once it arrives locally.

If the engine moves this vehicle, I'm sold. We did like the Pacifica but their 250 3.5 V6 seems to struggle to move it.

Don't know if this will matter to you or not, but the 2007 Pacificas have a new 253 horsepower 4.0-liter engine with more torque.
