FWIW, its never a good idea to rub low profile tires against a curb.
Chances are, you will rupture the side wall.
There are some tires that have a lip over the rim.
The Michelin Pilot Sports for example.

Enjoy your new car!

Curbs and tires don't mix. Just Ask Dub Schwartz!

I took a C30 out for a test drive recently and was quite unimpressed. Although it was a solid riding car with decent acceleration, it was way way overpriced for what you are getting. True it has a stronger engine than a Mazda 3, and Mini, but with just a handful of options, we are talking $32,000! I like the looks, but for these dollars there are many options out there that are more substantial all around. By the way, the dealership had 3 in stock and were not selling too many of them either. In addition, the future for Volvo these days is up for grabs with China looking like a possible buyer. I do like the looks as it brings back my memory of the 1800ES I used to drive.

This car has so much wind noise I can not hear myself think. I am getting rid of my 2008. On the C30 users group I found on the web I was told it was a design flaw any one else have this problem I have had it to the Dealer many times to try and fix it, but nothing has worked it seems to get worse every day. Also I have had my alighment done at the dealer twice it seems to go out after about 5,000 miles. Can't wait to get rid of it.
