Yes, my Rabbit is shadow blue '06. About the rattle noise, I can live with it, just turn on the radio and go... btw, anyone knows how to work with the heated winshield washer nozzles? I don't see any switch. It's getting bellow 40F now in New England...

i guess they work by themselves... you just have to use the washer... though it might take a second or two until they get hot...

Heated winshield washers? What do you mean? Is the water it shoots out supposed to be hot? I don't think this is a feature; maybe you mean the heated side mirrors? Having heated windshield washers would be bad: if its cold you could risk cracking your windshield.

If you want to work the windshield nozzles, just pull forward on the lever that adjusts how fast your wipers go, and it will shoot out, but make sure you hold it down for a second or two, thats how long it takes. As far as the heated mirrors, just flip the mirror adjustment switch until it is facing straight up instead of towards the left or right and it will heat the mirrors up in cold mornings; i love this feature but its the only thing i don't like about my vw; this switch feels very flimsy and its even worse when you compare to how nice the rest of the car feels. Plus you have to make sure you turn it off or it will stay on; don't really know what negative effect leaving it on could bring, but it can't be good either way. Hope this helps!

Convenience Package

    * Front & Rear Floor Mats
    * Heated Front Seats
    * Heatable Windshield Washer Nozzles
    * Radio: Premium AM/FM w/In-Dash 6-Disc CD Changer.

they are there though... but they`re not "hot" I guess for the reason you suggested but more like warm.

I'm with you. It's the washer NOZZLEs that got heated, so they can melt the snow or ice building up on the nozzles. That is actually standard equipment on 4doors Rabbit...I believe. Mine has it

yeah... probably in the US is standard... in Canada is optional. I thought the nozzle actually heats the water a bit...

Fan noise too high? Quality? Reliability? by blazinbunny
Apr 23, 2007 (5:17 pm)
i recently bought my hare this weekend, and i have put about 150 miles on it. i bought it used with 14k miles on it. my only concern is that when idle after i have driven it, the fan noise (in interval) is very loud and high at its peak. Has anyone else had this problem? also the engine light has come on but i just filled it up and might not have tightened the cap well.

so far, i love the way it drives, handling, power, and acceleration. it feels nice all around. i can't compare the fit to the rabbit in performance. i was thinking about buying the FIT but it just didn't have the feel i wanted, the power. i guess i can take the hit on MPG. the fit was cute and hip but GERMAN over Japanese performance/ ride. Its solid.

Reliability is important, so i hope there are no major problems in the future. i hope i got one made in Germany!

the reason your check engine light is on, is like you said, because you didn't tighten the fuel cap. If its still on, its something else.

Have had no issues with the fan noise at all. Maybe you should take it to the dealer.

I've got 16400 on my bunny with no issues.

All rabbits/gti's are made and assembled in germany. The only part that isn't is the engine, which is sourced from mexico. (this does not apply to the gti, since the 2.0t is straight from duetschland.)

Congrats on your purchase, mind if we ask how much? 2 or 4 door, tip or stick?
