SEE POST #210:The dealer did not have the specific car I wanted. So I gave them three color choices, interior color choices, and the dealer found the car via Kia Motors America and had it trucked in directly from the port. It took a week to get it to me, but it can be done. Don't settle for something that is not exactly what you want. All the dealer has to do is call their regional rep, and ship the Rondo you want from the port. There was no additional charge for this service either. I had the dealers invoice in my hand a few days before the car arrived.

Canadian invoice prices for EX trims by medicineman

Conwelpic mentioned in another thread about how in Canada we have to pay a fee to see the invoice price. I did just that earlier in the year for the EX. Just to level the playing field a little, I'm going to post what I paid for.

The following Canadian invoice prices don't include freight and PDI ($1,495), nor the cost for metallic paint ($125). As of March 5, 2007:

EX $20,528
EX V6 $21,461
EX Premium $22,394
EX V6 Luxury $24,261

It's in the ball park for the Seattle market area. I paid $17,351 for the same vehicle + cross bars. Now there is $1,271.13 to be accounted for. Is that sales tax + rebate. You will pay a delivery charge and a group advertising fee. Now what is not being dislosed to you is that the dealer is getting a sales bonus for meeting quarterly sales figures and an end of year inventory bonus to clear stock. At the $17,351 figure, the dealer makes about $350 on the deal if he meets his quota; don't know how much Kia is paying for inventory clearence. You might want to look at fightingchance. com for some intelligence on the matter.

The $17,000 figure does not include the sales tax of $1063.00, the balance covers title, registration, and state inventory tax (.002543 times car price). Have tried that site before and quite honestly I found the information they provided to be lacking.

On Aug 23rd, I paid 17051 for LX 4 Cyl with Popular Equipment, Convenience packages, 3rd row seat and 4 piece carpeted floor mats. Then they added 349 doc fee. Destination charge is included. This price is after 1000 rebate (2.9% 60 months). Kansas City area.

I just picked up my new Rondo LX w/popular equipment (AC, cruise control) yesterday, in central southern NH I paid 16450, negotiated from a sticker of 18,888. I received both the $1000 cash back plus $750, and 2.9 - not sure how they did that but they were insistent that I got both. I compared prices in the area and no one could touch that deal. I drove almost 50 miles to that dealer since the local one in the seacoast is the typical BS artist/hard sell type and I did NOT want to deal with them. I got the color I wanted with the options I wanted (and Rondos in this area are in very short supply), so I'm happy. I just hope it can deal with snow in the winter, I'm used to 4WD lease, but couldn't afford to buy one this time around.
The only thing added to the cost of the car was $27 for the state title fee - no big $250 fee for "office processing". This dealer is the bomb!

Do you know if there is any special lease programs on a the 2007 Kia Rondo. Specifically, I am interested in a EX, V6, premium, leather package?

Do you know the residuals and money factors for the above vehicle on a 24 or 36 months (12,000 miles/year)?

My understanding is that lease programs are ALWAYS money down the drain, especially when the warranty is good and the quality of the vehicle is high.
