I think though that the point is still that the Lexus buyers are aging and the average is going up year by year. Where did you get the manufacturer average age numbers? |

Check the CTS graphs again - 12% is the 16 to 35 54% is the over 56 group - this is an old man's car |

Replying to: louiswei (Jan 04, 2008 3:25 pm) Most of the owners now of CTS's in this part of the Midwest are younger than they used to be. And they impress me as quietly very afluent. That says to me they buy another car again in a few short years. That says opportunity for repeat sale of Cadillac product to their demographic based on age. It's up to Caddy to have it. The older buyers of Cadillacs tended to keep their cars long, in my observation, before trading them. Many bought early CTS's. But the younger, independent-minded owners I see are a good sign. Understand when I say "younger," I don't mean average of 35; it's more like 45 but there are 30-somethings in there. |
