When you remove that for access to the taillight area, there will be some kind of flat tap that holds the red lense in. Probably three of them. I don't have a Lucerne but my 03 has corner lights that are held in by little taps on 1/8 inch diameter studs that are part of the taillight unit.

Replying to: jeskol (Nov 12, 2007 12:37 pm) I have the exact same problem with my 2008 Lucerne. Seems like a software problem. If the program is smart enough to realize that when the sun is behind the car it is safer to have the headlights at the higher setting it should also know enough to turn up the cluster display. Possibly the system is designed so those two functions are linked. Controlling the headlight setting independently of the cluster illumination level combined with a software change should fix it if Buick so desires. This really isn't that tough of a problem for Buick to solve in my opinion
