See now, you got me thinking abgain about the new Deathrace 3000 movie that is being made. They should do another Cannonball Run, but this time let them use REAL CANNON's. What a terrific thing it would be to bring back the Cannonball race. This Country, along with some self serving politicians, needs a good shaking up & kick in the shorts. What a better way to do it. Come on Guys it's been 35 years since this country had a national event based on good clean fun & a little mischief to pump up our pulse. Admittedly there is a major safety concern however I would hope we as Americans are intelligent enough to police our abilities as drivers and act accordingly. Let's do one just like the first race without a bunch of regulations hindering or predetermining the out come. I for one would love to climb in my 440 Dodge Challenger for a coast to coast no holds bared winner take all event. American auto manufactures want to brag about product superiority, what a better way to demonstrate it. Generally they are invite only and are run similar to the original one on public roads with parties etc. One Lap is similar but you race at tracks rather than the public roads. I was invited to one of the underground ones a few years ago, biggest problem was the $10,000 entry fee! -mike
