I just sold a 2006 Mazdaspeed6 GT with 12K on it for $22,990 and one with Nav for $24,990 with 13K.

If you sel for $18K, I will buy it from you right now.

I obtained a quote for a 2007 Mazdaspeed6 Sport, no options, for $24,450 plus tax, tag and title, in Florida.
Dealer has about 5 on the lot.
Do you think I can negotiate to $23K?
I can wait as long as it takes to get a good deal.

Test drove the Speed6 today. Looked into a lease. The salesman said the effective interest rate was 2% but it was actually 4.6% (.00195) On the GT with a moonroof with M.S.R.P. of $31,320 they offered me a cap rate of $30,200. Edmunds shows a TMV of $29,411. With $1,846 down for fees iand including the $1,000 down payment, monthly payment was $406.95 without taxes on a 36 month lease. Residual value 50% or $15,560.

Loved the car, no problems with the clutch, thought the appointments were cheap looking, like Dodge truck. (Just poted my impressions under the main thread.) I am driving a Millenia S, much nicer interior. Not sure if I can swing it so I didn't start negotiating. They told me they would make a few of the lease payments if that would make a difference. They also have a loaner program which is worth something and they were very nice people which is also a big plus.

I like my MS6, but for a TMV of $29,411 there are many other fine vehicles to choose from. When the MS6 first came out it looked interesting, but only when the price came down to $23K was I ready to buy.

Mazdaspeed 6 Sport.
MSRP 28,590
Offer: $24,678 (before TTL) after $1750 cash back from Mazda.

Is this a good offer or can I push for a lower price? If I can, how much lower while being reasonable?

Thanks

If you wait until the end of the year you will be able to get the best deals. Rebates increase and dealerships want to get rid of "old" inventory. But sometimes they sell what you want. I got a 2006 at the beginning of 2007. It is a GT with moonroof for $25,900 (MSRP:$31,260) out the door. I would assume a sport would be $2000 less than that out the door. Some people did even better.

$25,900 OTD is a great price for a GT. What state are you in and what is your tax rate? I'm curious if I can get that kind of price in OH where tax is 7%. What was your price before TTL?

I got an almost identical quote for a Mazdaspeed6 Sport...$24,467 (difference could be in options).
I also have a $500 discount certificate that I received directly through mazdausa.com for signing up on their website. (which I have not mentioned to the salesrep yet).
I am also hoping that I can negotiate a better deal... please keep me posted on how you do.

MS6 Sport Price Help... by 90626gt

Hi.. I'm looking to buy a 2007 MS6 Sport with minimal options next month. I have some money coming in and can pay cash if needed.
Plan on waiting until tail end of month. A guy I know works in a car dealership and says last couple days of the month are best to deal.

Edmunds comes up with MSRP of 28,730 / Invoice of 26,540 and TMV of 26857 less 1750 rebate= 25107.

I got an email back from edmunds and they confirmed that # doesn't include ANY dealer charges i.e. the infamous dealer"prep" and any document prep fees which I gather can run anywhere from 300 to 700, I hear.

Looking for feedback on a realistic number to shoot for...

Thanx...

P.S. my baby is a 1990 Black 626 5door Turbo that I got new and is still a daily driver
