NEW YORK — In a stunning and embarrassing revelation, Consumer Reports on Thursday said it is retracting its recent scathing report on infant car seats because of faulty test procedures. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=119271 What this means to me: The consumers bible really fumbled the ball in the end zone for a safety. Most automotively benighted pack of socially-concious granola hounds I've ever met, though bright and wonderful folks every one. Berkeley, Piedmont, Moraga and Danville residents, they are the perfect auto-as-appliance buyers. Devotion/zealotry: the line is rather blurry, time to time. Kudos to the Big T says I. |

You wouldn't want to be behind this guy pulling away from stoplights, believe me - when I ride with him, sometimes I duck down so people driving by can't see me. Now I will say that the only two who are tracking mpg are doing better than 50, that none have had any problems with their cars, and that all would probably buy another if asked.
