I think I prefer the wheels I have on my '08 to what beach15 got on his white one.   I'm seriously contemplating an '09 2LT to replace a soon to be out of warranty Olds Aurora. Yes, I really like my '08 2LT Malibu that much!   I special ordered by '08 with every option except sunroof. I also spec'd the 4cyl, and could only get the 4-speed tranny (ordered in March 08; delivery May 08).   I'm thinking of doing either the red jewel tintcoat or one of the new colors--I forget the name but it's like a green ice or something like that. The exterior color I finally choose (won't be Imperial blue--got that one already) has to allow for the cocoa/cashmere interior--I really like that combo.   Thoughts anyone? Replying to: beach15 (Oct 01, 2008 3:51 pm) There is simply no comparison between the 3.6L and the 3.5L in your G6. The smoothness and power range of the 3.6L is unreal and it has a beautiful snarl when you take off (though you have to open the windo to really hear it).   I see the power pedals are gone as are the side markers for 09. You probably have the blue tooth though which is nice. Power pedals are useless in my view.   Hopefully you don't have to wait too long now!

The 18" wheel you see on beach15's car are the same as mine and they only come on the 2LT with performance package. You can not get them with the 2.4L 2LT and vice versa.   Personally, I think the 18" weels look amazing and are the best available on the Malibu. They are the same design as the Impala SS and really give the car a strong presence.

Imagine that...go on Edmunds and end up finding someone not only from the area but who bought from the same place   As said, when you get the V6 option on the 2LT, you get these 18" wheels. Otherwise, 2LT's with the 4-cyl have the 17" wheels with thinner spokes and a polished with gray coloring--love those wheels, too. Our Dark Gray 2LT 4-cyl has those.   vanman1 - Oh, of course. The 3.6L is SO much more an impressive piece. My 3.5L has great power and is smooth, but only as much as a less sophisticated pushrod V6 can be. I originally loved the 3.6L on a G6 test drive and wished I could have opted for it, but am even more so glad I can now. So creamy smooth but with unbelievable power, and still economy, at the same time.   Some day over the rainbow I shall have it, if GM can get together the proper paperwork and get it to the dealer sooner rather than later. They didn't disappoint me with my lemon situation, so hoping for a similar--and quick--close to it all.
