"Toyota and Isuzu have signed a memorandum of understanding stating they will start studying the synergic effects of business collaboration."
Toyota-Isuzu alliance (Straightline)
Hybrid-diesel in the pipeline perhaps?

This alliance will augment Toyota's diesel powertrains (of which they have many in their European models and Hino truck subsidiary) and give them a level of refinement (ie designed for passenger vehicles) greater than what Hino produces for their commercial trucks.

It is time for the 40mpg turbo diesel hybrid minivan with an inline diesel sideways with all maintenance from the easy to reach side instead of a V6 that is near impossible to work on.
Finnally Isuzu diesel products will be available for my family! And the Toyota line is an excellent choice to contain the Isuzu diesel. I hope they are affordable.
A new Isuzu/Toyota diesel Trooper would be nice too. With seats for 7 and the rear seats easily remove that way I would not need the minivan, and the second car can be an Isuzu diesel powered sedan with excellent handling that competes with the VW Jetta.
Isuzu please this time go for some brand recognition and insist on a prominent label on the outside of the cars that says "Isuzu Power" or similar.

An SUV with a Diesel would be nice!
