Thank you for your reply. I am really looking forward to the driving school and wishing for some foul weather. My wife may not be. I purchase my land rover for use off road and hope/know it will perform as expected. I am with you I use it in bad condition and what to know what to do when I get stuck. Do you have winch on your LR3?

No, I don't have a winch on my LR3 yet. I balked at the prices that the dealer was charging for a Warn winch through their parts department.

I subscribe to LRM (Land Rove rMonthly) and they have tons of examples of winches that are much cheaper than the 4500 (CA$) they wanted plus installation.

Anyways, winch will probably come at the same time as a brush bar and some extra lighting.

Yeah the Land Rover winch is really only worth it if you get it at delivery since it will carry the full 4 year 50,000 miles warranty then.
