Have 05 ody brought it new, past three years, I visited two separate dealers four times due to the rattling noise coming from drvier's side window. The best advise dealer can provide is to apply silicon sealant to the weather striping. They refuse to admit that this is a common issues with Odys. They said I am too picky since this is only $30k car and such noice can be expected. My other car is $15k Hyundai, never experienced such problem. This noise so annoying that I am paronoid everytime i ride this car. I am also convinced that this problem cannot be fixed. I will never buy another Honda again! I am going to sell this POS and visit a Toyota dealer to take a look at Sienna

My driver's side sliding door does not open. I locked and unlocked the door using the remote and the switch on the driver's dash, and it seems the other three doors toggle between locked and unlocked, but the driver's sliding does not seem to unlock. I opened and closed my gas cap door a couple of times to see if it would properly seat, and repeated the above. No change. Both of the push-pin switches will actuate through thier full range (I did not feel anything when pushing with my finger) My guess is one of the following is defective: switches in the gas door lock mechanism a cable to the lock mechanism Has anyone heard of this issue, and do you have any recommendations on troubleshooting and repairing? There seems to be two switches in the gas cap door. is this the case, and if so why two switches? Thanks, Ted

Does anyone know how to access the hidden menus in the 08 touring menus for the MID? After all, the maintenance techs have to clear the warnings, right? I figure there has to be a way, because by sheer fluke, I found I can actually get to see the 4 separate tire inflation values when going down the highway. Background: I had a false low tire pressure indication on the TPMS (it was below freezing) and when the orange warning screen was displayed on the MID, I pushed and held the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel for about 5 seconds, and it displayed 4 separate tire inflation vaules in the proper locations. So, being in Canada, the right rear tire showed 2 KPa less than the minimum required for it not to go into alarm. Using the handy-dandy touch info screen for conversion, 2Kpa = 0.3 PSI! WOW! I really had no idea the system was THAT sensitive. That's why I'd like to find a menu to not disable it, but just de-sensitize it bit, (lower the alarm point) to say, 3 PSI, or 20Kpa. Any ideas, suggestions, or comments? |
