rattling noise by pc33

Have 05 ody brought it new, past three years, I visited two separate dealers four times due to the rattling noise coming from drvier's side window. The best advise dealer can provide is to apply silicon sealant to the weather striping. They refuse to admit that this is a common issues with Odys. They said I am too picky since this is only $30k car and such noice can be expected. My other car is $15k Hyundai, never experienced such problem.

This noise so annoying that I am paronoid everytime i ride this car. I am also convinced that this problem cannot be fixed. I will never buy another Honda again! I am going to sell this POS and visit a Toyota dealer to take a look at Sienna

Driver's Sliding Door Does Not Open, Is Locked by yelkenli

My driver's side sliding door does not open. I locked and unlocked the door using the remote and the switch on the driver's dash, and it seems the other three doors toggle between locked and unlocked, but the driver's sliding does not seem to unlock.

I opened and closed my gas cap door a couple of times to see if it would properly seat, and repeated the above. No change. Both of the push-pin switches will actuate through thier full range (I did not feel anything when pushing with my finger)

My guess is one of the following is defective:
switches in the gas door
lock mechanism
a cable to the lock mechanism

Has anyone heard of this issue, and do you have any recommendations on troubleshooting and repairing?

There seems to be two switches in the gas cap door. is this the case, and if so why two switches?

Thanks,
Ted

Well. the problem turned out to be a "read the manual" problem. There is an lock on the inside. I assumed that locking and unlocking the door from the driver's dash or keychain would toggle this lock, but it does not. Problem (if it really was one) solved.

I thought it was just me, but our brand new '08 touring does the exact same thing. Seems this happens though only in a stiff crosswind: say, about 30 km/hr and 45 to 90 degrees off the nose. Both front doors do this - depending on the direction of the wind and it is annoying seeing how we shelled out many sheckels for this otherwise great vehicle. Any other suggestions?

Accessing hidden menus by dvandlp

Does anyone know how to access the hidden menus in the 08 touring menus for the MID? After all, the maintenance techs have to clear the warnings, right?
I figure there has to be a way, because by sheer fluke, I found I can actually get to see the 4 separate tire inflation values when going down the highway. Background: I had a false low tire pressure indication on the TPMS (it was below freezing) and when the orange warning screen was displayed on the MID, I pushed and held the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel for about 5 seconds, and it displayed 4 separate tire inflation vaules in the proper locations. So, being in Canada, the right rear tire showed 2 KPa less than the minimum required for it not to go into alarm. Using the handy-dandy touch info screen for conversion, 2Kpa = 0.3 PSI! WOW! I really had no idea the system was THAT sensitive. That's why I'd like to find a menu to not disable it, but just de-sensitize it bit, (lower the alarm point) to say, 3 PSI, or 20Kpa. Any ideas, suggestions, or comments?

I have a 04 Odyssey EX w 110000 miles on it that has been maintained. However I am hearing loud noises from back end every time I go over rough roads too, What mileage do U have on your 06? Have your shocks been replaced yet or r we supposed to replace rubber bushings on back suspension?

The other day, when it was about 30 degrees, our low tire pressure light came on. Just re inflated the tires to the correct air pressure, and all is well. It appears to me, that the system monitors the 4 tire pressures' collectively. Don't ignore the sensor, just put air in your tires up to the recommended tire pressure when cold.

Easy fix for this, per TSB 08-080.
