Several Mitsubishi dealers we talked with here in the Minneapolis area told us its either 1,000 off or low percentage. Most were not willing to deal. However, we did find one who did.

Got the LS for 24,750 out the door, with sun and sound upgrade, built in dvd player, and upgrade to heated leather seats. We will be doing the upgrade on the seats next week.

Theres a lot of Outlanders running around MN, perhaps its just a local thing.

I hardly see any around here (SE Wisconsin) which I consider a good thing. I like having something unique.

Seems everybody and their brother has a CRV or a RAV4.

Hey NASDACYC

Definitely do not give in to the NOrcal Dealers Until you get it close to 28,000! i got a fully loaded 4wd XLS for 28,000 flat. You gotta play hard ball. Veracom and Serramonte refused to go under 28,400. Steven's Creek and Capitol (OWNED by same dude and share inventory)are the volume dealers and that who i got down to 28,000 flat. East Bay mitsubishi is in the equation too, but they were a little more deceptive in the pricing they gave me. Just call around and have them beat each other, but you have to be ready to buy because when you are at 28,300 or 28,500 >> I love using the power of "hey if you give me 28,000 flat (or lower) i will come and sign the papers tonite. anyways good luck man.

Well, I have a time frame of 3-4 weeks before I purchase this vehicle. I do have a price in mind and I will stick to it until a dealership is willing to sell at that price. If I'm unable to get it at my price within my time frame then I just wait some more. The $28,999 quote I got was from the volume dealer in Santa Clara (Stevens Creek Mitsu), the $28,800 from Serramonte. EB Mitsu gave me a call and price but it was not what would I describe a fair price.

BTW how is your Outlander holding up?

"New" Outlander sold as Used?! by razov09

I just took home a fully loaded 2007 Outlander XLS with a Sales Price of $26599 (before taxes, title, etc.) and got the 1.9%APR for 48 months.

Good deal right?

Well, it wasn't until late last night as I was reviewing the sales & finance contracts that my "new" XLS is actually marked as a USED vehicle?!?!

Odometer had 55 miles and when I inquired why so high from the Business Mgr he said it can be as high as 150 miles depending on where the car came from.

Here's the thing, I never once expressed verbally or in writing that I wanted to buy a used car. I'm going to the Dealership and ask them what's going on. My first thought was that it was a typo but I see my car marked as USED on the Bill of Sale, Finance Contract and State Tax form.

I'm going to demand that they explain what they mean by "Used" and why they didn't tell me this up front. I blame myself for not catching this sooner as I was focused on the $$$'s.

Maybe it's an honest mistake but I'm going to ask for a Title History and I've already checked the BBB on the dealer and checked the Illinois Attorney General's office for more info.

Has anyone run into this situation before and how did you handle this with dealer?

Thanks in advance for your input.

That is the first time I ever heard of a vehicle with only 55 miles on it considered a used car. That is a good thing to look for when buying what one thinks of as a new auto. The Outlander I test drove already had 39 miles on it and I wonder if I can get a deal like yours.

Anyway, good luck on the outcome. Does the state of Illinois have a cooling off period for autos? If so maybe the previous owner decided they didn't want an Outlander after all and returned it.

I think, if the vehicle had previous owner, it's automatically considered used, regardless mileage. But your deal is amazing.

I believe they have to remove the Moroney sticker from the window and have an additional sticker indicating the warranty if it is consider a used vehicle.

And there are VERY BIG warranty issues with your "used" vehicle, especially if it turns out your the second owner, because then you are not entitled to a full 10 year powertrain warranty, and what you have then would be what's left of the 5 yr warranty since the 1st owner bought the vehicle.

That's right regarding the warranty. I didn't think of that.
