I respect your "naming convention", but I don't really have anything to give up. I will go with the rest of the world's definition of CUV, SUV and MINIVAN.

Maybe at least a little bit like a MINIVAN? Eh?

Woo Hoo, I just got my '07 Outlander. by abang

Picked up an XLS 4WD in graphite gray. Got it for $500 under invoice for a total of $23702 along with the 5 year 4.9% financing. Now I'm also trying to find out if I can qualify for the Education Edge rebate of $500 since I graduated from college last year. Did not know of this until after buying the car.

Started the buying process by visiting the Mitsubishi web site. Located a dealer in my area that had a couple of the '07 Outlanders in stock. Selected the model I was interested in and sent my contact info in. Got an email back the next day with a price. After a week of thinking it over, decided to buy the car.

And the buying process was so smooth. Low key, no pressure and took less than an hour to leave the dealership. Did not have to talk to a parade of clowns, everything was handled by one person, the internet sales manager who had responded to my email. Total contrast to the multitude of sleazy sales people I had to deal with at the Hyundai dealership when I attempted to check out the Santa Fe.

New financing offer? by rcpax

Did I almost miss it? Mitsu is now offering a 3.9% APR financing for 48mos ($22.53/$1000 financed) on all 07 Outlander for qualified buyers.

A few banks I've visited are offering anywhere from 5-7% APR, so this is a little bit of good news.

Big congratulations dude!! So cool, I'm actually looking to buy the same color. Wow, 500 below invoice! Now I have an idea what a good deal is! You will most likely qualify for the rebate. I just checked out the Special Offers section and I found a new financing rate for the 07 Outlander. 4.9% for 60mos is a good deal IMO. By the way, did you do the math how much that would be per 1000$ financed? So we can have a sort of idea how much more it will be compared to the 3.9% APR they're offering. ( I'm assuming that it's financed by Mitsu)

Way cool dude. How about some pics?

I live in San Francisco and just checked out the Outlander and found the same adjustment. I couldn't believe it. I was prepared to seriously consider this car, but their pricing is ridiculous (not what is on Edmunds) but what the dealers start with. They said they had to have it because it's a popular car. It makes it more expensive than the competition.

I hope somebody from Mitsubishi (MMSA) is monitoring these forums. The dealers are the cause of Mitsubishi demise. Why would you pay the extra "adjustment" when somebody just paid 500$ below invoice?

Just ignore it. They can put any sticker on the window they want, but you are the one signing cheks. Send emails to few dealers in your area with your offer ( below invoice) and tell them you are serious about purchase from whoever give you that. Then just wait. If you don't have to buy now, wait till spring.

Congratulations! I am glad your purchase went smoothly and I hope you will enjoy your new outlander as much as I do mine. Sounds like you got a great deal. Did you get any of the extra packages? I also got the 4.9% financing for 5 yrs.

No, I did not get any of the extra packages. I wanted the leather and power seat (luxury package) but I'd have to wait two months for Mitsu to build one with no guarantee that 4.9% interest rate would still be available.
