Yup, I am from up North... Not too many Mitsubishi cars on the road around here, but number is increasing. We are not going to see a new 2007 Outlander until Feb of 2007. Why? I do not know. Maybe be they still got too many of 2006 models unsold? 2006 Outlander Limited with 0% will cost you $39000 CDN. Not exactly free. I might wait for 2-3 months to see the new ones. Maybe a base 2007 model will be cheaper, but with interest rate 5-6% it will cost about same $$$ as 2006 Limited. Here is a link from e-bay. There are lots of pictures, and from what i see 2007 Outlander is a MINIVAN with ugly/cheap plastic interior (just take a look at the door panel)... Maybe I will drive to USA and take it for a test drive to see if it's worth waiting.. Have you tested new 2007 model? Big différence?

2007 Outlander IT IS NOT a MINIVAN by any definition. IT IS NOT a TALL WAGON either like 2006 Outlander. IT IS a COMPACT SUV.
Interior wise, this topic was extensively discussed on this forum - it seems to be on par with RAV4 and CRV. It's adequate for what it is - an entry level compact SUV. If you do not like the interior design, this is a different story.
I was concerned with the interior quality as well (hard plastic door panels). I had a friend of mine who lives in the States to go check it out until I get to see it myself. He reported back that the interior is nice and it does not feel cheap; he said it is comparable (quality wise) with the 2007 Honda CRV he was considering for himself. This may not tell much, but it is encouraging for me.
Canadian pricing - I don't know, but I hope the prices will follow the US trend - cheaper than the comparable Toyota RAV4. Financing rate - I hope for a 4.8% for 48 months, top.
I hope Mitsubishi Canada will make wise decisions to get Canadians behind the wheel of the 2007 Outlander. We'll have to wait and see.

Well, you can call a motorcycle a Minivan too if you want to. I guess everyone is entitled to his opinion.

I respect your "naming convention", but I don't really have anything to give up. I will go with the rest of the world's definition of CUV, SUV and MINIVAN.

Woo Hoo, I just got my '07 Outlander. by abang

Picked up an XLS 4WD in graphite gray. Got it for $500 under invoice for a total of $23702 along with the 5 year 4.9% financing. Now I'm also trying to find out if I can qualify for the Education Edge rebate of $500 since I graduated from college last year. Did not know of this until after buying the car.

Started the buying process by visiting the Mitsubishi web site. Located a dealer in my area that had a couple of the '07 Outlanders in stock. Selected the model I was interested in and sent my contact info in. Got an email back the next day with a price. After a week of thinking it over, decided to buy the car.

And the buying process was so smooth. Low key, no pressure and took less than an hour to leave the dealership. Did not have to talk to a parade of clowns, everything was handled by one person, the internet sales manager who had responded to my email. Total contrast to the multitude of sleazy sales people I had to deal with at the Hyundai dealership when I attempted to check out the Santa Fe.

Did I almost miss it? Mitsu is now offering a 3.9% APR financing for 48mos ($22.53/$1000 financed) on all 07 Outlander for qualified buyers.

A few banks I've visited are offering anywhere from 5-7% APR, so this is a little bit of good news.

Big congratulations dude!! So cool, I'm actually looking to buy the same color. Wow, 500 below invoice! Now I have an idea what a good deal is! You will most likely qualify for the rebate. I just checked out the Special Offers section and I found a new financing rate for the 07 Outlander. 4.9% for 60mos is a good deal IMO. By the way, did you do the math how much that would be per 1000$ financed? So we can have a sort of idea how much more it will be compared to the 3.9% APR they're offering. ( I'm assuming that it's financed by Mitsu)

Way cool dude. How about some pics?
