The XC is a very soft riding wagon - especially if you've ever driven an AudiAllroad. I wanted a little more road feel and better handling out of my wagon...granted it's a wagon, but it doesn't have to feel similar to a Vista Cruiser. So, I put in a set of heavier sway bars and front end links as well as a set of 18" Ronal wheels with 235/45 all season sport tires and handling characteristics have been transformed. The XC also looks fantastic. There is much less body lean and it turns much quicker with more feel. I didn't not lower the car (yet) with shorter springs, but that would be another good upgrade. I bought the sway bars and wheels from IPD in Portland, OR. They were great to deal with. BTW, the wheels were on sale for $100/each > what a steal. I would recommend this upgrade for any XC - you won't be disappointed.
